How did everyone prepare for their glucose test? I’ve got mine on Thursday and I’ve heard about how horrific it can be so I’m honestly really nervous and dreading it 😣

I did one of these as part of a pregnancy research study. I’d also heard bad things, but honestly it was absolutely fine. I drank the drink in one go, there was no flavour. Then sat and read my book for 2 hours before they took my bloods again.
Honestly, was incredibly easy! She said they’ve changed the drink recently so that more people can tolerate it. Good luck

It’s really not that bad! I had mine over a week ago and it’s just like drinking still lucazade. The blood drawn is uncomfortable but it’s fine (I had to gave my fasting blood taken twice as the first person didn’t take enough). Fingers crossed for a good outcome 🤞🏼

Hey lovely❤️I had mine today, I also had one with my first. All you really need to do to prepare is make sure you fast beforehand. I had mine at 8 this morning, so it was very easy. The only thing you can have is plain water beforehand. You’ll go and have your first round of bloods taken, after the blood test you’ll have to drink the sugary glucose drink you’re given, which honestly is not as bad as some people make out😂 it just taste like a very sweet cheaper capri sun. After that, you’ll have to wait two hours. I was allowed to leave the hospital but just check with them first because with my first one I wasn’t allowed to leave. Take something with you to keep you occupied, I took a book and some headphones. Then after the two hours you’ll have your bloods taken again and then off you go. There’s so many fear mongering things said online but please don’t read into them/ look for them as unfortunately people are more likely going to talk about their experience if it’s negative!

Honestly it’s fine babes it’s just the waiting around for me that did my heading in in waiting 2 hrs to have a blood test! The drink it’s self just taste like warm flat lucozade xx

I took myself back to my partying days and necked it in one. Felt proud of myself and oddly nostalgic for a night out 😂

Honestly I found it so easy and not unpleasant! The drink didn’t taste awful at all, I understand this is subjective but it was just a bit foamy that’s all I noticed, was easy to drink fast and there wasn’t much of it.
I went back home and came back to the midwife two hours later x

Is anyone having another baby soon and/or have already had another baby since having July baby? I’m having a c-section Wednesday and yall… obviously I’m terrified and feeling all the feels for the hospital stay and the c-section and leaving my girl - but I’m having the most overwhelming sadness that my girl is not gonna be my little baby anymore she’s gonna be the big sister and I’m NOT okay about it. Anyone else feel that way??? HOW DO I STOP CRYING 😂 Just wanted to have some people that are going through or have felt that before 😂

Hello! First time poster here.
My baby girl turns 1 this Sunday and she's still not crawling. She runs around in her walker and scooches around during tummy time, but watching all the social media videos I feel like I haven't done enough for her.
Her baby sister due in February. She was originally due in January until the ultrasound showed she was too little for January. Same thing happened with my other babies, but this time I'm not showing as much as my previous pregnancies. I'm only 5 foot and feel her doing summersaults everyday, but it still makes me nervous at 22 weeks.
I keep reminding myself that every child and every pregnancy is different, but I'm so scared that I'm failing my little girls.
Any other mamas find themselves feeling this way?

Looking for recommendations for a decent pregnancy pillow. I see so many things online but would love to hear people’s experience and opinions!

Hi guys! I’m 19weeks pregnant and have anxiety. Recently I’ve been anxious about not getting enough nutrition for both baby and me. I keep hearing online about how much energy you use during pregnancy and I think I’m worried I’m not getting enough iron/protein/calories in general.
I do have a very varied diet and eat a lot of unprocessed and home cooked meals so this kind of thing didn’t bother me pre pregnancy.
I’ve had to delete social media off my phone because I see so much “do this” or “don’t do this” but it’s becoming a bit overwhelming!
I just want to keep both myself and the baby healthy as he grows 🩵 Any advice for nutrition or any links to good sources for this kind of thing would be greatly appreciated xx
