Hello! First time poster here.
My baby girl turns 1 this Sunday and she's still not crawling. She runs around in her walker and scooches around during tummy time, but watching all the social media videos I feel like I haven't done enough for her.
Her baby sister due in February. She was originally due in January until the ultrasound showed she was too little for January. Same thing happened with my other babies, but this time I'm not showing as much as my previous pregnancies. I'm only 5 foot and feel her doing summersaults everyday, but it still makes me nervous at 22 weeks.
I keep reminding myself that every child and every pregnancy is different, but I'm so scared that I'm failing my little girls.
Any other mamas find themselves feeling this way?

Every baby is different but that does seem a little bit behind. Walkers can actually hinder them because you shouldn't be walking before you're crawling. Scooting is definitely a first sign of wanting to crawl. You should definitely consider talking to a physical therapist and see if your insurance covers someone to come to your house once a week.

Your little girl is so stinkin cute by the way. I wonder if switching the walker from one where she sits in it to a push style walker can help? (They look like pushing a shopping cart or lawnmower so she would have something to keep balance but put more of her weight on her legs and core and build more of that strength). Is she able to stand holding on to a sofa or anything like that? Maybe focus on her standing but not with her hips and butt supported.
You are doing great. I'm no doctor but I think it's normal for petite moms have petite babies, there is nothing wrong or inherently concerning about that I think. Also I think up to 18 months is still a normal range for babies to start walking. Maybe try to avoid social media too. It's really good at making parents feel inadequate and it's totally not true.

Don’t beat yourself up every baby is different and learns different. With that said crawling should definitely be a skill already by age 1 she should be starting to pull herself up on things. I will say get rid of the walker either all together or just only use it when you really need it and limit time in the walker to 15 minutes MAX. If you’ve been using it too early or often it messes with their hip development which will make it harder for her to crawl scooting is good she has movement. Leave her on the floor to play alot and definitely search up some videos and position her in crawling position help her get there even 5 minutes daily is enough as long as your trying. You should also talk to your pediatrician see if you can get a referral to get extra support in that area

I was going to say don't use walker stop immediately bc it changes their muscle balance and they get addicted to walker

(And won't progress )

This is advice from a nurse who runs from a women's baby shelter
How did everyone prepare for their glucose test? I’ve got mine on Thursday and I’ve heard about how horrific it can be so I’m honestly really nervous and dreading it 😣

Is anyone having another baby soon and/or have already had another baby since having July baby? I’m having a c-section Wednesday and yall… obviously I’m terrified and feeling all the feels for the hospital stay and the c-section and leaving my girl - but I’m having the most overwhelming sadness that my girl is not gonna be my little baby anymore she’s gonna be the big sister and I’m NOT okay about it. Anyone else feel that way??? HOW DO I STOP CRYING 😂 Just wanted to have some people that are going through or have felt that before 😂

Looking for recommendations for a decent pregnancy pillow. I see so many things online but would love to hear people’s experience and opinions!

Hi guys! I’m 19weeks pregnant and have anxiety. Recently I’ve been anxious about not getting enough nutrition for both baby and me. I keep hearing online about how much energy you use during pregnancy and I think I’m worried I’m not getting enough iron/protein/calories in general.
I do have a very varied diet and eat a lot of unprocessed and home cooked meals so this kind of thing didn’t bother me pre pregnancy.
I’ve had to delete social media off my phone because I see so much “do this” or “don’t do this” but it’s becoming a bit overwhelming!
I just want to keep both myself and the baby healthy as he grows 🩵 Any advice for nutrition or any links to good sources for this kind of thing would be greatly appreciated xx
