What’s the hospital job? Are there opportunities to learn on the job and earn more?

Avatar

Amazon will work you into the dirt. I know a few people who’ve worked in the warehouses and delivery and no one stayed long. Also if it’s a flex driver job, you pay for the fuel which right now here has most drivers breaking even.

I've never heard good things from Amazon drivers. It's a lot of work usually for average pay. I don't think the hospital job is better in any way. Its not enough pay

And my husband go on with them we will make 45 an hour 🫠 that’s damn good money

I’d weigh it out honestly, with the hospital job look into opportunities to progress, will you ever be making more money than the Amazon job? Do you think you can get to that point or do you think it will always be the same? Do you even want to progress? Are the days off, annual leave ect better or worse? What benefits do they each give you? Which benefits are better? Which job would you actually enjoy and which one would fulfill you?

Just a few questions you can ask yourself, maybe make a pros and cons list x

It’s honestly up to you. If the pay is more important than progression go for Amazon.

For me personally, I’m going back to my job part time and there is really no room for progression but the hours are really good and unless another job comes up where I get paid more, I’m staying where I am

I would say, hospital job because if it’s good hours you can build skills in other areas to advance.
Such as if you are admin to a hospital, you can work there while pursuing another hospital career that pays well.
Ultrasound techs and radiology techs only need 18-24 months of schools. They make roughly 80k.
Amazon people burn out quick. That’s a temporary job. Also, Amazon doesn’t keep workers for long. It’s a put up and shut up job.

If you need a quick little money maker, sure Amazon. Tough it out as long as you need.

Long game, get a decent job and build them skills. Hospital. It will be worth it in the end, and if not, you have a great resume to pursue other careers

Amazon may pay more but a hospital job can open other doors

Sensitive subject but need advice....

So I have genital herpes (super triggering for me as came from previous relationship) throughout my pregnancy so far I have had atleast 3 outbreaks, despite being on meds everyday to suppress it.

I also have endometriosis, pcos, fibromyalgia, and suffering with severe PGP. This is my first pregnancy.

My OB and I had a chat at 21 weeks about c section vs vaginal birth and he has said the choice is up to me. He provided me with all risks of c section and vaginal birth. I am so torn.

My main concern is if I plan for a vaginal birth, I will likely have to have an emergency c section if I have a herpes outbreak during or around labour/due date. Which feels likely, as i will be stressed. My other concern is if I am able go vaginal birth, with the soreness down there plus a possible outbreak I wont be able to cope with the pain and irritation down there.
With c section obviously big concern is its major surgery whilst being awake, and the recovery time is more. I already am suffering with severe pelvic girdle pain, so will a csection make it worse? Will i be able to comfortable breastfeeding baby or will we need to look at combi feeding or formula?

Had anyone on here been in my position? What did you do? Any advice?

Preemies?

Any mums in this group suddenly find themselves a mum of an October 2026 baby and not a December one now?

We were visiting family in the next county (for less than 24 hours mind you!) and found ourselves rushed to hospital with bleeding, preeclampsia and an emergency c-section baby.

Being at the hospital, recovering from c-section whilst my son sits in his incubator is definitely not an experience or thought I ever had for this pregnancy. Anyone going through similar??

Mild pain

Hi ladies ❤️ I’m 13 weeks pregnant and have had a mild pain on the right side of my abdomen since yesterday. It comes and goes, even when resting, and I also notice it when walking, bending or taking a deep breath. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I am a bit worried and honestly don’t know what to do.

Shaving in the last stretch

I know you don’t have to and midwives have seen it all but it be a personal preference if anyone be seeing down there. However 35 weeks worth of baby bump be blocking my view and I feel like I can barely reach at this point. How are you girlies finding it because the patch work look is not for me and some places I feel like imma throw my back out just to reach 😅
