Out of curiosity, what do your days look like? I’m 4 weeks PP, I have 2 under 2 and my newborn is tiring me out. I’m waking up late with her (sometimes gone 10am). I go on short walks but most of the day there is a lot of feeding and cuddles. Is this normal for this stage? I feel a little guilty I’m waking up so late and not being more productive.

Feel exactly the same! I have a 2 almost 3 year old, and a 3 week old. Also feel like I’m not doing much. My toddler is in nursery most days, I feel like my first maternity leave I was so much busier, but I think because I have 2 children now I’m much more exhausted on this one

I’m 3 weeks postpartum , with a 3 week old, FTM. I spend most days in my bedroom with little one. Mostly due to recovery as I’m still healing from forceps birth where I have a lot of inflammation, consequently I can’t go too far. We sometimes go on a walk to the shops if my partner is home.
Baby spends a fair amount of the day either feeding or sleeping. And when he isn’t I pop his playmat on the bed and encourage him to look/play etc.
I have to say I can’t wait to be better recovered and have my independence back to be able to go out for walks just me and baby. X

Remember the 4th trimester really does exist! ❤️ do whatever works for you & your family!
I have my 4y old at home 5 days out of 7 so I’m out most days or the PM will be chaos if he hasn’t burnt some energy but some days that’s 9am, some I don’t make it out until after lunch but you better believe if I had the option I’d well & truly be in bed 🥰
I’m almost 7 weeks pp but at 4w I was still recovering so days were very, very slow & I’d count keeping us fed & watered as the achievement of the day!

I’ve also got 2 under 2, our days are spent in the living room. If dad’s home and we need something we’ll go to the shop with him. I’ve been out with them both on my own twice to a supermarket and once out for a walk but it’s hard work x
Thanks everyone! Really interesting / reassuring. My eldest is in nursery but when he was a newborn I was a lot more structured in my days and productive however with my second I’m embracing rest as I know once she’s awake to the world more these sorts of ‘lazy’ days will be gone!
My little girl is 2 months tomo and I currently have to rock pat and shush her to sleep. If I dont put her to sleep she will stay up and be extremely overtired. I cant even sit and rock she will fuss and cry until I stand up. I see others put their baby in the crib and they fall asleep themselves and mine is not capable of doing that. Its so exhausting and even if shes too young now I would love some advice on other peoples experience on how they moved away from rocking their baby and started encouraging them to fall asleep on their own/using other cues to help them fall asleep. She doesn’t like being swaddled and refuses the dummy she will make faces and gag so they dont help.

What do I do? I was giving my 9 month old her bedtime bottle and it leaked through her bib onto her sleepsack and bit on her vest got wet too. Am I ok leaving it on her? She's asleep an dont want to wake her to take it off. Just worried about leaving it thats all. Anyone been in same position?

So my daughter is turning 1 in November and she’s so tall for her car seat but I know she’s still too young to be in a forward facing one. Her feet have to be in an awkward position and I’m just unsure on what to do.
Does anyone have any car seat recommendations or something else I could be doing to make her more comfortable?
Thank you 💕

Hi everyone! ❤️
I have inverted nipples, and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to breastfeed my first son for very long due to health issues and difficulties with latching.
I know there are pumps and other options available, but I’d love to get some support and advice before my second baby arrives.
Does anyone know of any local breastfeeding support groups or services? I’d also love to hear from anyone who has experience breastfeeding with inverted nipples. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! 🫶

Ive seen alot of comments about prep machines and the rapid cools.
My feeding consultant told me to put the powder formula in after the water but then surly the cooler water mixed in from the prep machine then wont kill the bacteria in the formula? We have a tommee tippee prep machine but if i put the powder in before or mid way the water always goes higher than what im wanting but then if I put it in after is it then not safe?
In regards to the rapid cool im unsure what the best way to use it is. Im a FTM and just not sure what is safest and best for our boy.

Does anyone use a white noise machine for day time naps? We play white noise at night, but haven’t done it in the day yet. Just thinking of whether it will help our baby to sleep in the day better…
