Colic, gas or hungry

My 12 week old is so fussy. Beyond what he has ever been before. He eats constantly every hour to 2. He’ll be happy most times after eating then out of no where just blow up. He’s so hard to get a nap in too. Is this the start of colic or his he just gassy or can he really just be constantly Hungry

Wait, feeding every hour to two isn't normal??? Mine is 9w and has been doing it since birth (every hour for 5-12mins) and during the initial 'growth spurts' he ate more than that and for longer...

My baby cries intensely out of nowhere usually because of gas. I would try doing massages when that happens and maybe the gas drops after a feed (I haven't noticed them helping all that much compared to massages but won't hurt to try?).

With gas or reflux sometimes you can hear the milk sloshing around your baby’s stomach or the baby gags a lot. Or cries for long and is hard to soothe. Or screaming in pain when lying down flat from reflux. Those were the signs of reflux that my child had.

But every 1-2 hours is normal for feeding they go through many growth spurts. You can try rocking your baby in a carrier or going outside to sleep might calm your baby down. I noticed she calmed down when she was outside. The fresh air helps them a lot

Bottle feeding

Ive seen alot of comments about prep machines and the rapid cools.
My feeding consultant told me to put the powder formula in after the water but then surly the cooler water mixed in from the prep machine then wont kill the bacteria in the formula? We have a tommee tippee prep machine but if i put the powder in before or mid way the water always goes higher than what im wanting but then if I put it in after is it then not safe?

In regards to the rapid cool im unsure what the best way to use it is. Im a FTM and just not sure what is safest and best for our boy.

How are you spending your days?

Out of curiosity, what do your days look like? I’m 4 weeks PP, I have 2 under 2 and my newborn is tiring me out. I’m waking up late with her (sometimes gone 10am). I go on short walks but most of the day there is a lot of feeding and cuddles. Is this normal for this stage? I feel a little guilty I’m waking up so late and not being more productive.

Speech

Hey - I’d love to know what your babies are saying at 13months?

I’m so impatient for this phase and know to at every baby is different but would love to know what others are saying. My baby is an amazing walker/runner and understands a lot. They have just started saying mama and dada and using baba to say bye bye etc.

Sleep

Hey mamas! When are you all planning on transitioning baby into a cot/their own room? My baby girl is 4 months now and I know the guidelines say 6! But I feel really sad/uneasy of the thought of moving her into her own room so young! But I also see the benefits as well!

Nappy bag? (UK)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a nappy bag? My baby has outgrown hers.
I'd need it to be waterproof ideally, fit under a buggy rather than on the handles, backpack style, and room for the general stuff with pockets. I have slight hand disabilities so easy access would be great!

The choice is overwhelming online so thought I would see if anyone has one they love before I buy a random one.
