My LO is 10 weeks and I can roughly get blocks of between 6-10 hours from her. She sometimes will cluster feed from 6pm-9pm. I try and give her her lat bottle between 8-9pm which I make 1 oz bigger than her daytime bottles. She’ll wake early morning for a bottle or 2 then falls back asleep for a few hours. I also try and put her in pyjamas at night rather than a sleep suit if I can help it, just so she’s getting used to and knows that when they go on that it’s bedtime x

11 week old and a 2.5 year old. Our toddler has a fairly set routine and he’s in bed and asleep between 7.30-8pm depending on how tired he is.

We then go downstairs with baby and watch what we want, do a quick tidy. From about 6 weeks old, baby uses this time to tank up on milk(EBF) so I just follow her cues. I go up to bed at 10pm to settle and try to get to sleep whilst my husband has baby. When she’s settled, he brings her up, puts her in her sleepy bag and then that’s it!

It’s a loose routine and it’s been pretty much led by her. What I will say is she’s is a completely different baby to our first and the fact she sleeps well has nothing to do with us or this “routine.”

It is really not recommended to sleep train before 4 months old. Before that you just have to follow the flow of the baby, let them sleep when they want to, don’t force them to stay up

We have a 9 week old. We give her the last bottle around 8 or 9 and she properly passes out after this so put her sleep sack on and put her in next to me where she will do stretches between 5 and 7 hours. We start to wind down in evening ourselves naturally by dim lights. Change her nappy and into sleepsuit before that last bottles. We have had this routine since husband went back to work 3 weeks ago. She seemed to be able to tell the difference between night and day from very early on so we are very lucky

10 week old and just turned 4 year old (plus two teenagers but they sort themselves 🤣) - our little boy starts bedtime routine between 6-6:30pm asleep by 7:30. Our 10 week old LG has put herself into a routine (I think based around this) as she wants to BF at 5/6pm and will then sleep until stories start 🤣 when she likes to scream for another feed. So I then BF her to sleep whilst reading to my little boy. She will go until 10pm then and then from 10pm to 3am. That's the best stint I get at the moment. Not a routine, I wouldn't stress myself out getting into a routine with her at the min, it's more a case of just fitting in around family life xx

No set routine but we’re an upstairs at night family anyway, so she tends to have her last bottle about 7/8pm (but I’m led by her hunger cues and make sure she’s had a decent total ml for the day- she’s on pumped breastmilk from a bottle) and then I’ll be in bed watching tv as she drifts herself to sleep in the next to me. She might wake up a few times in the night (from what I’ve seen when I’ve gone to toilet/am pumping) but she doesn’t mither for food and goes back to sleep. We then wake up together at 8am for a bigger than usual morning feed to make up for the fact she hasn’t eaten in ages. My baby’s temperament is very chill and content so I am very lucky xx

My little girl is 11 weeks, almost 12. We always aimed for a feed around 9:30/10pm, however she would go to sleep around 7/8pm and need to be woken up for this feed. About 4 weeks ago she started to get harder to wake up for that last bottle as she was in deep sleep so we figured 7/8pm was her “natural” bed time and we didn’t want to be disrupting that long deep sleep anymore. We start bedtime routine between 6:30/7pm. We do some low stimulation okay/exercises, put a galaxy light projector on, do a bath, massage, sleeping bag and then all lights off for a bottle. 9/10 times she will just fall asleep with the feed, others she may need a few minutes of rocking if she’s not quite tired enough! She’s usually asleep by 8pm. We just push this bedtime back depending on when she’s woken up from her last nap. She sleeps on the sofa next to us (always supervised) and we carry her to bed when we go up a couple hours later and she stays asleep.

What’s everyone’s opinions with partners not helping in the night because they’re working?

Currently tripple feeding because of baby’s weight, had on going issues with this for months now. It’s draining & It would be really nice to have some help.

I give the breast, then pump and give a bottle of breast milk, then wind her, the change her nappy, then a bottle of formula, then wind her again, then I try to leave her sitting up for as long as possible so she doesn’t get a bad tummy/allow her a chance to poop (she’s never been able to poop laying down for some reason) & then try to settle her & rock her back to sleep (that’s if she doesn’t need her nappy changing again)….The whole process can take me HOURS.

We have had quite a difficult baby from the start. From about 6 weeks old her wake windows were 5-8 hours long and when she does sleep, it’s only 1-2 hours. She doesn’t give me long stretches. I’ve noticed in her baby classes, a lot of people’s babies accidentally fall asleep…my baby has never done that. It takes me like an hour of rocking and patting her. My mum also said when we were babies she could put us down on the play mat and we’d just fall asleep. My girl just is not like that. So after ALL of the feeding…getting her to sleep is a mission. She’s always so wide awake and alert, I’ve tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is her sling. So I use this during the day time but obviously not at night.

My partner wakes up at about 5am for work.
I end up staying awake from that time too to be honest because most of the time baby won’t go back to sleep. I also have early morning appointments to attend etc. Obviously due to baby not sleeping well I can’t just “sleep when the baby sleeps” during the day. I can’t lay down and sleep when she’s in the sling. And if I get her out of the sling she wakes up. I don’t think my partner understands.

I’ve asked him for help endlessly and explained that I’m barely sleeping & he always says “yeah that’s the way it should be because you’re off work & im not”.

If I had a straight forward baby that I could breastfeed for 20-30 mins then go straight back to sleep then I wouldn’t mind.

This situation makes me want to be one & DONE. He talks about having another baby one day and I’d love to, but all I can think about is how easy he has it yet all he does is complain. But I can’t say anything because he always seems to have it worse than me just because he’s working. Although this man gets long lunch breaks, is home by 3pm, naps in the afternoon/evenings because yet again I always have baby. He doesn’t have the baby when he’s home. He gets many breaks and many sleeps. I don’t.

But I’m in the wrong if I ask for help and now I kinda don’t want it because he says that’s the way it should be. So if he does help now I’ll just feel guilty and feel wrong.

I need help asap 😭😭

My husband usually sleeps downstairs on the couch as he prefers the tv on when he sleeps, he also says I snore a lot.. Recently I think it’s affecting our relationship so he comes up stairs sometimes and sleeps in bed. My 7 month old sleeps the next to me cot or we co sleep if she’s fussy ( which is often)
When my husband sleeps in bed he snores sooooooooo much and so loud I can’t sleep and my baby also finds it hard to go back to sleep when she wakes for a feed.
I don’t know what to do to keep my relationship good ( just isn’t about intamancy just being able to lay net to each other)
I might cry literally he’s snoring now and I can’t sleep thankfully my baby is as I’ve got her next to me.

Sleeping at 10 weeks pregnant, please help!

Hey Ladies, I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant and haven’t slept properly in around 6 weeks. I had a bad back and hips before being pregnant but always found my bed comfy and the only bed I could sleep on however the last couple of weeks I am waking up after crappy sleep literally unable to move, to the point where some mornings I have to ask my partner to pop home from work quickly or my mum to come round just to get me out of my bed. I’m in constant agony no matter what I do. I’ve tried putting a mattress topper on and even currently have two on there which helps slightly but not enough to not be in agony every morning. I’ve tried a pregnancy pillow that didn’t help. I’ve tried sleeping on multiple blankets that didn’t help. I know this is only going to get worse as I am fairly early but any help would be massively appreciated, I feel like I am at wits end here!
