💕 Breastfeeding hormones – has anyone else felt like this? 🤱🏼

I’m around 3 months postpartum and feel like breastfeeding has affected me more than I expected. I love the bond with my little boy, but my sex drive has disappeared, and sometimes I feel like I’ve lost a bit of myself. 🥺

I’d love to hear from other mums who’ve experienced this!

💗 Did your sex drive come back while breastfeeding, or only after stopping?

💗 Did you feel more emotional or unlike yourself?

💗 Did anything help, or did things improve naturally over time?

I love breastfeeding and don’t necessarily want to stop, but I’d love to feel more like myself again. ❤️

Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated! 🫶🏼

- Only after stopping.
- It didn’t directly affect my mood or make me feel unlike myself.
- Things improved for me with time and mainly as my baby slept better! I think the sheer lack of sleep affected my sex drive as much as breastfeeding as I was constantly exhausted.
- At around a year pp when I went back to work I lost a lot of weight that breastfeeding constantly made my body cling to (I fed until 25 months in the end) and I started to feel a lot more like ‘me’ both with the weight loss and return to my job and having some more adult conversation x

Thank you for your reply☺️ are you glad you went to 25 months? Or knowing what you know now would you have stopped it sooner. I’m in two minds whether to carry on or not. Or maybe do combo feeding with formula and breast milk x

I only just weaned my 15 month old and still don’t feel like myself. (Also 20 weeks pregnant so that probably makes a difference) but I’ve talked to my family and they don’t feel normal again until several months after weaning

Bed time routine

Hey. How do you all handle bed time?
Do you have a set time you try to get baby asleep by? Do you go to bed when the baby goes to bed? Interested to know all the details!

14 week old/4 month regression?!

The past month, my son has been doing 5 hour stretches at night but recently he’s been needing a feed every 2.5 hours(6oz). He doesn’t wake up crying but instead he thrashes about and digs his face into my body/matress (we cosleep) and that’s how I know he’s hungry. Is this the 4 month regression or what like is he teething?! lol I’m so confused 😭

Colic !!!

My almost 8-week-old has been crying almost the entire night 😭 He hasn’t pooed for a day and only settles when I carry him upright. It feels like colic, but he’s never been like this before. He’s exclusively formula-fed. Has anyone else’s baby gone through something similar at this age? What helped your little one?

Bath time

My little one now hates bath time... she breaths really rapid and kicks her legs constantly throughout, she never looks chilled. I took her out early last night because she went red in the face and cried. Nothing has changed, we use one of the bath inserts bevause she hated the sitting up baths when she was new born. Any tips?
