Hello, first time mum to a 4.5 month old little boy. Ive noticed over the past 3 weeks that my son gets upset when male members of the family hold him but not female members or friends. When I hold baby up to them, baby is happy and smiling but not when being held by them. He sees them just as much as female members. He's happy around dad thankfully. Has anyone else noticed this?

My little boy used to cry at his grandma all of the time until he was around 8 months old. It is very common for children to cry at the people that almost feeling awkward/uncomfortable when holding babies.
Equally my neice is 18 months old and still cries at my husband sometimes

Sometimes its a case of familiarity. Are you his primary parent? Do the men have deeper voices, facial hair, ect?
Often women have a bit more of a fuss/appear more enthusiastic and happy (big smiles, higher voice, more comfortable and confident in holding) and thus baby feels often happier/more comfortable, especially when mother is primary parent, because they recognise the behaviour

Honestly, most babies in my family/friends were like this too, I think it's the energy. Mother's hold a different energy compared to most dad's. Women just give off a different kind of energy (I hope this makes sense to you)
Iām a FTM looking for some advice please.
Iāve just started putting my 9 week old in her sleeping bag at night the temperature when we go to bed is around 20/21 degrees I have been putting her in a 1 tog sleeping bag with her sleepsuit per the guide on the sleep bag. The temperature is dropping to about 16/17 degrees throughout the night making it colder.
Would you continue to put her in the 1 tog or would you put her in a warmer tog when sheās going to bed knowing the temperature is going to drop? I am worried about overheating her. TIA xx

I breastfed for 18 months and it was more because I knew it was good for baby and then when we got into it, it was for convenience and ease. But I also felt that it took things away like baby being able to spend long periods of time with family (he wouldnāt take a bottle), and also I had a lack of freedom lol.
Iād do it again and donāt regret it but I never got the āI love breastfeeding, I love the closeness, itās magicalā kinda feeling that I read people talking about.

Did anyone find that when they got their period their milk supply got less? Think my first period is starting and noticed I'm finding I'm pumping less and less milk at the moment and wonder if they're connected.
