Recovery

This might sound silly but I'm getting really anxious that I'm going to do too much and cause myself problems, even though I'm feeling fine! I had my 3rd baby, first csection 4 days ago and the recovery has so far been better than I expected. I've done a lot of resting and honestly haven't moved far from the sofa but was feeling good this morning so did more bending / tidying / picking things up off the floor etc. Nothing hurts in the moment and I'm not taking many painkillers now but I'm so scared I'm going to do something wrong and cause damage! I don't know if this makes sense, think it's more anxiety than anything else 😅

That’s great your feeling good but just remember to take it easy. It’s easy to forget especially if you’re not in any pain. I had an emergency C section and like yourself everything went well in terms of recovery which I was so grateful for but I definitely suffered with health anxiety for a few weeks after which is why I forced myself to rest properly ie not drive or pick up my toddler. It all sounds like it positive for you though and the anxiety will pass but discuss it with your midwife/health visitor about it if you’re feeling anxious.

Not as excited about second baby?

This is my second baby - my first is 17 months and so a complete whirlwind at the moment. He’s still a terrible sleeper and can be a handful but 90% lovely 😅

With my first we tried for years and from the moment we found out we were giddy with excitement. With the second we fell pregnant first try and I’m not feeling as excited… I’m 17 weeks.

I don’t know if it’s because I don’t have time to be excited as such as all my thoughts are with the toddler, or if it’s because I’m exhausted from the lack of sleep, or if the excitement will simply come especially when I start to get a bump etc. If I look to the future and think about the bond my children will hopefully have and the family trips etc then I’m excited, but I’m just not feeling excited right now to have a newborn added to the already exhausted state (we thought we would have to try for years again to conceive - not get lucky first time, hence why we started trying now)

Anybody else feel like this if on their second or more pregnancy?!

2nd pregnancy.. Not nesting, not ready

Busy taking care of a toddler. Mainly focused on setting up childcare for when the new baby turns 1 year old. We don’t have a name picked out, no nursery, no car seat bought. Just feeling more relaxed this time, not sure if that’s good or bad haha

Anyone pregnant with number 2 and showing?

I’m pregnant with my second baby and it’s insane how much of a bump I already have compared to my first pregnancy. Will be 13 weeks tomorrow and I’m curious if anyone else has had the same?

Glucose test

Hi mamas! 💕 I had my 1-hour glucose test today, and my result came back over 200 😭 I’m honestly a little worried. Has anyone else had a result this high? Were you diagnosed with gestational diabetes right away, or did your doctor have you do the 3-hour test? I’d love to hear your experiences! ❤️

High blood pressure

I'm currently omw to L&D at the hospital due to hypertension. It's been a steady 150/100 and if I do anything it climbs. I'm so scared because my BP has never been that high, it's actually typically lower end. I don't have any other symptoms. Can someone tell me their experience and what the treatment was?
