My toddler was previously sleeping through and had been for about 5 months before we had our second baby. He’s maybe waken in the a handful of times during these 5 months.
He’s all of a sudden started waking up in the night (for the past week), crying for me and wanting to be BF. I usually only bf him before bed at night. He will only settle for me. This combined with breastfeeding is taking a toll due to the lack of sleep.
Is this normal? Is this due to the change? He’s eating and drinking well before bed and I doubt it’s due to hunger or thirst.
Has anyone had experience of this? How long did it last?

Hi, I had to double check if I put on a post for this, as it sounds just like me right now 🤣 My son is 4 weeks old and my other son is 2.5 years old and has been doing the exact same thing with the wake ups! Its multiple times at night at least 3 times but when either me or my husband go n into his room we just ask him to lay back down and sleep. Its so tricky to manage. However this is a normal stage of a toddler adapting, especially when they know the new born is sleeping in your room and they are not. Good luck

If the dad js available, u can let him sleep with your oldest in a separate room for sometime. That s what i did with my then 11 months old when i had her brother
I’m a FTM looking for some advice please.
I’ve just started putting my 9 week old in her sleeping bag at night the temperature when we go to bed is around 20/21 degrees I have been putting her in a 1 tog sleeping bag with her sleepsuit per the guide on the sleep bag. The temperature is dropping to about 16/17 degrees throughout the night making it colder.
Would you continue to put her in the 1 tog or would you put her in a warmer tog when she’s going to bed knowing the temperature is going to drop? I am worried about overheating her. TIA xx

I breastfed for 18 months and it was more because I knew it was good for baby and then when we got into it, it was for convenience and ease. But I also felt that it took things away like baby being able to spend long periods of time with family (he wouldn’t take a bottle), and also I had a lack of freedom lol.
I’d do it again and don’t regret it but I never got the “I love breastfeeding, I love the closeness, it’s magical” kinda feeling that I read people talking about.

Help?!!!! My 18 month old from the day he was born has been absolute hell past 4pm. No matter how much sleep he has he whinges and cries at EVERY thing, all evening. My partner is really stressed out with it, as we thought by now he might have grown out of it. He’s sleeps 7:30pm- 6am, and 11:30-1:30 day nap. Eats WELL, that is what he actually mostly whinges at now… Always screaming at the kitchen cupboards. I don’t know what to do😩 is this happening to anyone else

When did you start using tampons after birth?
I’m 6 weeks post c-section today and started my first period. I absoloutely hate pads with a passion I’m so fed up of them I just want to start using tampons again but information online is misleading.

Did anyone find that when they got their period their milk supply got less? Think my first period is starting and noticed I'm finding I'm pumping less and less milk at the moment and wonder if they're connected.
