How much does your baby weigh?

Hi everyone. I’m abit curious and slightly concerned. So at my 30week ultrasound, my baby was weighing 3lb 4oz. I’ve just watched a video of a lady saying her baby weighs 3lbs 10oz at 31weeks and has been told by her doctor that the baby is measuring small. I wasn’t told anything neither was there any concerns so now I’m wondering if this was something they missed or is this a normal weight for a baby that old?
I’ll be 33 weeks tomorrow and per estimation the baby should be about 4lbs 3oz. Is that normal ?

I have had a growth scan today, my little boy was 3lbs,6oz which they have told me is small so now I have to go for another scan in 2 weeks and if he hasn’t grown as he should be I need to be under a consultation! It worries me so much the constant graphs they plot the baby on! Xx

Pop the info of the scan into chat gpt or Gemini and it will tell your the percentile etc

Everyone is different. I am under a constant anyway. I am not big framed at all. My biggest was 6.12
Smallest was 4.15.
I was 29 weeks and 5 days and my little girl was 3.2
If she carries on the same path she will be about 7.4. She will then be my biggest. They are only rough guidelines and don't always get them right.
I would speak to your midwife if it is really worrying you so you have peace of mind. I am 33 weeks today and I have a growth scan on monday. From now on this is really where they start to gain their weight 🥰

Hey I had growth scan 32 weeks om Tues and measuring 4lb 9 and was told good weight. They gain approx 1/2 lb each week so you won’t be small? Also these scans are approx. They told me my first was measuring small and I panicked so much, he was 7 lb 12. 🤷🏻‍♀️Try not to worry and drink plenty of water! xx

Anyone else suffer with this

Hi, I had a c section 9 weeks ago. I was sterilized at the same time. I was discharged with a catheter because I couldn’t wee after the set time it was removed Two weeks later but I still have no sensation to go for a wee. Doctor referred me to the hospital to get checked over just wondering if anyone else suffered with this. And what the outcome was

Elective C-Sections

Is anyone else seriously considering having an elective c-section in an otherwise uncomplicated pregnancy? Whenever I talk to friends/family or my OB, I’m always met with slight prejudice on the fact that I’m considering this. It seems like a universal understanding that vaginal births are always better. However, I’m really struggling to understand why. When I think about affects on the mother, I know that C-sections are major abdominal surgeries and recovery time is longer, however the recovery is only temporary. With a C-section you significantly decrease your risk in long-term pelvic floor dysfunction, and completely avoid the inevitability of tearing in any degree, stretching, and any long-term adverse side effects that come with that. In weighing if I’d rather have long term scar tissue in my abdomen or…elsewhere, the choice seems obvious. Secondly, there is no question that c-sections are safer for your baby. And for the mother, although going through major surgery, the procedure is completed in 60 minutes or less in a fixed amount of time in a highly controlled environment. No unknown hours of labor, and god forbid, if something did go wrong, you’re already in the environment to address anything. I’m frustrated that I consistently need to defend myself when the choice seems rather obvious. Am I missing something? Is anyone else experiencing the same push back or same thought process?
