How do I stop it?

Ever since I gave birth to my son I’ve been cosleeping. I know it’s not recommended and dangerous but sometimes I fall asleep while putting him to sleep and I wake up and I remember he’s with me. I’ve been doing it for a month now and want to stop until he’s old enough to cosleep with me but don’t know how to stop. I also noticed when I’m breastfeeding him and it’s late at night or I’m sleepy it’s more frequent

You don’t. You follow safe sleep seven so you don’t exhaust yourself to the point of falling asleep on top of your baby.

We had a next to me cot, but I’ve co slept with my LO since birth and she’s 20months now, because I BF her n I had 3 operations in the first 10months, I physically couldn’t keep picking up n down. I shared a double bed with her, then at 10 months moved us into a Montessori floor bed in her room. It’s all been great, helped my recovery. She’s comforted easily through the night. I didnt have covers, I used sleep suits for her and I wore thick pjs when needed. The floor bed is great for older when they can crawl and get out to play /read books when they want to and I can rest in bed longer xx

Girl my baby is almost 5months I've been co-sleeping the whole time, she hates her bassinet, you can safely co-sleep why try to stop if you and baby are getting good rest.

It's better to fall asleep in the safe/correct position than unknowingly so would highly reccomend ensuring you're in the correct position. I've co slept with my son since birth and he's almost 3!

I co-slept too starting around 2 months for that same reason. She just wouldn't sleep without me and it got to the point where I was so tired I was falling asleep with her on me so I figured it was safer to just co-sleep in a safe and planned way. So I think as long as you're doing it safely it's probably okay. As for stopping she just naturally started growing out of it around 8m (being extra wiggly, crawling around, etc) and then she got a cold which made her fine sleeping anywhere so I put her in her own bed and after that she was fine sleeping in her bed. You're doing great if it works it works and co-sleeping safely is infinitely better than co-sleeping accidentally 🫶🏼

DNA Test

My baby’s dad performed a DNA test on him and my baby without my knowledge or consent. My baby wasn’t even a month old at this point. Any advice or thoughts? He’s not on the birth certificate.

How to get baby to nap without feeding?

My baby is almost 11 months old and he’s always fed to sleep even at bedtime. Now I feel like he’s starting to drop bottles, I struggle to get him to nap.

Like today, he had a filling lunch so refused his 3.30pm bottle for his nap, I resorted to having to drive around in the car to get him to sleep. I tried rocking and he just cries and tried to turn.

Any ideas on how I can start to get him to fall asleep with no bottle?

Cold and flu

How do people deal with colds and flu when you are breastfeeding and can't take cold and flu tablets? I had my flu jab yesterday but they said that it takes 2 weeks to work. My husband has a nasty cold and is taking cold and flu tablets, I can feel myself starting to get it but I checked with the doctor today and they said that I cant take the tablets due to breastfeeding as there is a decongestant ingredient which impacts the milk. How do people manage to care for their baby while fighting sickness and trying to avoid passing it on to them?

Is this normal?

Im a FTM and my 5 week old daughter is going through a stage of either not sleeping or sleeping too long, This morning she woke up at 4 and didn’t go back to sleep until 9:30, Between that time she had about 12oz of milk and slept for 8 hours, Has anyone else had this with their baby? Should I be worried and wake her up if she sleeps for that long again? Just looking for a bit of advice
