It has definitely been tough at times, our little boy just turned one month old today. Exclusively breastfeeding but wanting to offer breastmilk in a bottle soon so husband can help at times. Absolutely no routine 😂 No shifts, I do nights on my own as it's just easier. Husband is working (self employed) and has been away on work trips already. Sleep varies, sometimes he wakes up after 1.5 hours, sometimes we get 4 hour stretches. Generally around 6 hours of sleep but varies from 5 to 7 hours. Feel very overwhelmed at times but generally just so happy to be our little boy's mum 🥰

It’s a lot honestly but when I look at my baby girl I feel it’s all worth it ❤️❤️

Parenting with partner (we have a nearly 5 year old and 8 week old)
Formula
Not really got a routine
We did shift sleeping until 7 weeks
Im on mat leave, partner works home 3 days and office 2 days
Last couple weeks tough for fussiness and not settling. Generally of a night shes up every 3-4 hours for a feed but had a couple of unexpected longer stints!
Id say around 4-5 hours sleep for me.
I have been referred to the perinatal mental health team for concerns and anxiety relating to my own health. Otherwise, I am feeling generally a lot better at 8 weeks than previously. I have good and bad days. I'm not getting out with baby at all really but we have just moved house. Ive booked a baby massage class and hope to get out with her more when there is less rain.

Just realised you said FTM after writing all of that. But I honestly am learning it all again after 5 years! X

Advice on only/multiple kids

I just had my first baby at the beginning of September. I’m turning 34 next week and have been struggling with whether we should have more children. We tried for a few years for our daughter so it wasn’t easy. And I’m not a dinosaur or anything, but I definitely feel that way when I think about having another baby in the next couple years 👵

At the same time, my step son who we have part time is 10years old so my little girl would be an only child. I had my little sister growing up and now we are so close. I know the beauty of having a sibling to grow with. I worry about her being lonely 🥺 Especially since I don’t have family or friends with kids close to her age or with children at all.

Any advice/wisdom?

Best friend?

Hey yall so I'm looking for that one friend I can call when I'm bored and we chat about anything and everything, someone open to all conversations and isn't afraid of communication, if something I say (I'm unfiltered) rubs you the wrong way, let me know, I'll fix it. I feel as if I'm pretty funny and I find a lot of inappropriate things hilarious. I'm gross lmfao we all pee we all poop and we all fart etc. if your down to get to know me feel free to message.

Zero sex drive

Will it ever get back to normal? I’ll preface by saying my fiance is great, he’s doing as much as he can when comes home from work both with LO and with household tasks - laundry , cooking, cleaning. He’s trying to be supportive of me, telling me I am great mum, always tells me how pretty I look etc. But we are just in this roommate mode and don’t know when will that change. He sometimes tries to initiate but I’m not really interested in anything intimate. We have been not having penetrative sex since probably March as had some pregnancy complications with my placenta, just lots of hand stuff. Now I’m two months postpartum and we have done some hand stuff again but that’s it. I can tell it bothers him, but I’m just really not interested. During the day all my focus is on the baby, and in the evening when we home I just want to relax. This is obviously effecting the rest of the relationship and I feel like he’s starting to resent me. I just don’t know how to fix it? I don’t want to have sex just to fix stuff, but also know it most likely won’t repair without that part as well. When will I feel desire for intimacy again?
