Ive a scan tomorrow at st James - has anyone had a scan recently did they actually charge for the photos or did they give them for free? I know it says on letter £10 but with my other kids they was all free x

Often the machine is broken so give you them free but otherwise it's £5a pic x

They said that in my letters but they were all free

Mine have all been free there but I only got 2 each time x

I've had 3 pregnancies since 2020 and between St James and LGI, the card reader is always broken so I've got every scan photo for free 😂

I had all my scans at jimmies and had to pay for them all. Think maybe taking cash just in case might be an option! x
Hello, can anyone advice please?
I dont want to give my daughter my partners surname. It's nothing to do with him, all to do with what I stand for and my morals.
Ive suggested double barrelling which he says it doesn't sound right, which tbh it doesn't. And I've suggested changing all our names to a completely made up one which he doesn't seem too happy about either.
Any advice please?

Has anyone had an emergency c section and a planned c section and know whether pain/recovery is any different. I know you shouldn’t compare but it took me a couple of weeks to be properly mobile after my emergency c section (I could walk very very slowly and needed support getting up out of bed etc.) My friend had a planned c section and was mobile very quickly afterwards. I didn’t know whether this was just based off different people’s pain threshold etc or whether it was due to mine being emergency and hers planned in case I need a c section for next baby.

hey guys! i’m pregnant with my first and am so torn between a c-section or a vaginal/natural birth? i never really imagined myself having a c-section but with 1 in 4 births being emergency c-sections nowadays, i don’t know if i should just psych myself up for one?
would love to know what other mums have done, birth experiences, if you’ve done both etc.
TIA! xxx

A bit of a long shot, but I’m just looking for a bit of advice - I had my second baby in April this year. After having her, everything was fine. My periods quickly returned to my normal cycle, I started back on Desogestrel in the May. However in August, I randomly got 2 periods in one month. My cycle now is just bleeding more than not, my doctors are saying that it’s just hormones, however I never once experienced this with my first - and it is full blown bleeding, having to double up with pads due to it being so heavy and the pain is unreal ☹️ does anybody have any advice ?!

Really struggling, baby is only 12 days old and things are pretty difficult. I had an emergency section, so recovery has been tough as well. My husband has basically spent his paternity leave running errands…
