It’s up to you. Those ultrasounds can be off by a lb or two on either side. So baby could be measuring bigger or smaller then to what they currently are. How big were you and dad when you were born? Were yall average or big? Do you have GD both play a factor. My husband was big so I have big babies so if baby is measuring bit I always think it’s true. You can be induced and you could wait but baby could potentially be big. Or could be average

I was induced to have my baby 3 days early because I was high risk of having a new born. I NEVER thought of inducing or C-section at all because I had my heart set on being all natural. I felt ashamed to have everything I worked hard for slip away because of this but looking back … having the pessary was still as close to natural I could have been. It only soften the cervix to help give labour that kicking start my baby needed. If your having a big baby then this might be a good path for you, definitely talk to your doctor tho and prepare for anything else that might pop up like C-section if you haven’t already just to prevent these feelings coming back again but at a worse time. You have spent 9 months naturally growing your baby don’t let this lil kick knock u down, it’s only getting the ball rolling. I wish you the best things motherhood can offer you ❤️

I birthed a 99th percentile baby 11 days late with no induction or epidural you can 1000% say no to an induction if you don’t want it

I was induced at 38 weeks because baby wasn’t growing. At 36 weeks she measure 5lbs 11oz. 38 weeks she was 5lbs 13oz and measuring 35 weeks. So the rushed my induction. I had a 12 hour notice! Definitely wasn’t my plan but sometimes it happens!

I think it might be in your best interest if you want to avoid any risks. My drs did not do a growth scan and had no idea how big he was, he came out 9lb 12oz when I was 41+3. If they knew he was that big they would’ve recommended a c section but he got stuck in my pelvis. I pushed for 4 hours and there was shoulder dystocia causing lack of oxygen and a broken humerus. If you do continue with a natural birth, keep in mind it increases the chance of c section if they deem natural to be too dangerous when the time comes.
Heya so possibly TMI but question for all the c section mommas
So my 6 weeks post c section was Oct 7th and my partner and I have been sexually active since then, every time we do (and it’s a very weird way to explain it but only way I know how) I get that uncomfortable pain like when you can feel that you need to change a tampon and it starts to be too uncomfortable, I only get this feeling during and after sex and have never felt this before the c section. Even after a natural birth with my first boy everything was fine. Is this normal to have this feeling?

I was sat in bed just now and when I stood up there was a large wet patch on the bed, I didn’t even notice it happening. It wasn’t huge but more than any sort of discharge patch I’ve had before. Also I’m usually a bit wet down there with the discharge but it’s dry all of a sudden. Have my waters broken or just a one off large discharge maybe? It only had a faint smell

Baby is 7 weeks this Wednesday. Scar is healed with no pain when pushed etc. However, my actual stomach / around and above my bellybutton still hurts with pressure. I can’t lay on my front. It all just feels mad bruised! At what point is this no longer normal? My stomach looks slightly swollen too. It looks more swollen than the week following the section! Do I contact a Dr?🫠. Thankyou xx

I know emergency C-sections are quite common, but has anyone here chosen to have an elective, planned C-section? What was your experience? No judgements and rude comments please. This is a sensitive subject. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I’m considering having a planned C-section. Because I’m 41 and suffer from anxiety, I’m worried about the unpredictability of trying to give birth naturally at my age with the possibility of needing an emergency C-section in the end. I know it’s a major surgery that comes with a lot of risks, but it seems so much more controlled when planned in advance, which I find comforting.

I’ve really let my self go this pregnancy- now to give my self some leeway, this pregnancy has been 10x harder on me than my first (I swear my first pregnancy was so easy, no problems, no cravings other than protein and was able to work out through out it).
This pregnancy food aversion are huge and the only thing I ever want to eat are carbs. I’m so tired all the time like to the point where I have taken naps ( literally my entire life I’ve not been a nap person, only naps I’ve taken as an adult came on cause of medication making me sleepy- this includes my previous pregnancy) I have horrible sciatic pain that comes and goes constantly and it’s sometimes so bad it I can’t walk . I’ve been having false labor since around 34 weeks.
With all of that I don’t have the energy to get ready EVER, I’ve gain about 3lbs over my max I should have gained and I still have 3 weeks until my due date, I stopped stretching and any light work outs. I even stopped hitting my step goal 🤦♀️.
It’s a little to late but I’m forcing myself to go on walks every afternoon now, and stretch for atleast 30 minutes a day(given I’m not in immense pain)
I just feel so disappointed in my self, my muscle is basically non existent now and all I want to do is to tell my self to get tf up and work out but I know once I give birth I’m going to have to take at least 6 weeks before I can fully start working out again. I already have my postpartum work outs planned out until January 1, 2028 but I just feel so bad about myself cause I let myself get like this. Any ways just needed to complain thank you for reading my ted talk
