Go with a full bladder, they’ll scan to check your dates, find a heartbeat and that everything is measuring correctly.
Isn’t everything on badger notes?

Turn up with a nice full bladder and just let them know about your paperwork. They’ll sort it for you. It’s super straight forward. Usually it’s just gel on your tummy and get ready to see baby! 🫶🏼

You should have been given your green notes.... Id ring up the midwife department wherever you're from and tell them you wasn't given them.
Buy you go to the scan and give them your green notes then you'll have your scan and they typically want a urine sample from you after the scan to check that, if you've opted for the testing for down syndrome, Edward and pataus syndrome they will take some blood too, you can be there a while. I was at mine getting everything done just under 4 hours x

I had mine yesterday. I had the scan, they will ask you if you want them to check for down syndrome ect too with your consent they will. Then I had to have my blood test, urine sample, height and weight checked. Then waited to see the midwife she gave me a due date and talked me through everything then I had to have a blood test because they never had my vit d levels from last one x

When my trust was using paper notes we had to go back collect them after the booking in appointment. I would contact your community midwives and ask about your notes.
Or if you have the badger notes app and they’re using that then the comms just haven’t been updated and you won’t need to change anything.

I never had any notes to take. I had mine last week. I went in one room got the scan and they gave me notes to take to the next bit where they took blood and then booked the next appointment

Mine is today. Very anxious & also excited. Once I have this. I can tell people eek!! Can you find out the sex at the 12week scan?
Heya so possibly TMI but question for all the c section mommas
So my 6 weeks post c section was Oct 7th and my partner and I have been sexually active since then, every time we do (and it’s a very weird way to explain it but only way I know how) I get that uncomfortable pain like when you can feel that you need to change a tampon and it starts to be too uncomfortable, I only get this feeling during and after sex and have never felt this before the c section. Even after a natural birth with my first boy everything was fine. Is this normal to have this feeling?

I was sat in bed just now and when I stood up there was a large wet patch on the bed, I didn’t even notice it happening. It wasn’t huge but more than any sort of discharge patch I’ve had before. Also I’m usually a bit wet down there with the discharge but it’s dry all of a sudden. Have my waters broken or just a one off large discharge maybe? It only had a faint smell

Baby is 7 weeks this Wednesday. Scar is healed with no pain when pushed etc. However, my actual stomach / around and above my bellybutton still hurts with pressure. I can’t lay on my front. It all just feels mad bruised! At what point is this no longer normal? My stomach looks slightly swollen too. It looks more swollen than the week following the section! Do I contact a Dr?🫠. Thankyou xx

I know emergency C-sections are quite common, but has anyone here chosen to have an elective, planned C-section? What was your experience? No judgements and rude comments please. This is a sensitive subject. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I’m considering having a planned C-section. Because I’m 41 and suffer from anxiety, I’m worried about the unpredictability of trying to give birth naturally at my age with the possibility of needing an emergency C-section in the end. I know it’s a major surgery that comes with a lot of risks, but it seems so much more controlled when planned in advance, which I find comforting.

I’ve really let my self go this pregnancy- now to give my self some leeway, this pregnancy has been 10x harder on me than my first (I swear my first pregnancy was so easy, no problems, no cravings other than protein and was able to work out through out it).
This pregnancy food aversion are huge and the only thing I ever want to eat are carbs. I’m so tired all the time like to the point where I have taken naps ( literally my entire life I’ve not been a nap person, only naps I’ve taken as an adult came on cause of medication making me sleepy- this includes my previous pregnancy) I have horrible sciatic pain that comes and goes constantly and it’s sometimes so bad it I can’t walk . I’ve been having false labor since around 34 weeks.
With all of that I don’t have the energy to get ready EVER, I’ve gain about 3lbs over my max I should have gained and I still have 3 weeks until my due date, I stopped stretching and any light work outs. I even stopped hitting my step goal 🤦♀️.
It’s a little to late but I’m forcing myself to go on walks every afternoon now, and stretch for atleast 30 minutes a day(given I’m not in immense pain)
I just feel so disappointed in my self, my muscle is basically non existent now and all I want to do is to tell my self to get tf up and work out but I know once I give birth I’m going to have to take at least 6 weeks before I can fully start working out again. I already have my postpartum work outs planned out until January 1, 2028 but I just feel so bad about myself cause I let myself get like this. Any ways just needed to complain thank you for reading my ted talk
