Am I unreasonable?

My sister-in-law (my brother-in-law’s wife) is a good person and has never been disrespectful towards me however not very friendly with me. She's been in the family for 10 years and I've been in the family for 4 years. She’s a GP but works part-time and takes care of most things related to the children and the household.
The thing is whenever she wants to arrange something like a day out with the kids or inviting us to their son’s birthday party she messages my husband rather than me. I find it a bit strange because I’m the mum too, so why are all these arrangements made through my husband?

I’m not English, but I communicate very well and have a full time job here so I def don’t think it’s a communication barrier!

I mentioned this to my husband and asked why she never messages me directly. I told him I find it strange but he said Im being sensitive and that she probably knows him better than she knows me

Honestly I think that's not that deep! A lot of the communication between me and my husband's family goes through my husband, and the same for my family like it goes through me unless it is a gc.
.I think with my sister in law (same BIL wife) one of us eventually made gc for the 4 of us around the time of my wedding last year because our husbands were taking too long to reply to each other lol 😂

I wouldn't over think it tbh! Unless she airs you when you message her or something.

I kind of had the same issue and got pissed off several times. He kept saying it’s not that deep maybe she just doesn’t know you that well, because she married his brother way before we got married.
But now after three years our relationship has gotten a lot better and she does text me directly. Sometimes she still texts my husband instead but it’s cool I’m fine with it now 😂

If you want a better relationship with her why not try messaging her first xx

I wouldn’t bother anymore hun, I dunno about you but with being a mam now I cba with anything if it’s not bringing positivity into my life xx

I know quite a few women that purposefully message the dad, especially when it comes to children/plans. They see it as sexist/unfair that the woman is automatically expected to take care of all those things. Maybe it's that? Especially if she is a mum herself and he is the one directly related to her, maybe she is actually trying to be nice?

Positive test and worried 😟

Can’t stop crying… just found out I’m expecting. I have a 7 yo son and a 15 month old daughter and up until a month or so ago I really wanted another, then I came to my senses and realised I’m already struggling, my plate is full I want to get back to being myself as I have really lost myself. My partner is how he is… help is limited interms or house work etc I do struggle to keep on top of everything already now I’m wondering how I’m going to cope this could break me. The reason I wanted another was for my youngest to have a sibling with a close age gap. Another worry is that I’m 36 I feel like I’m too old to do this again it’s going to take its toll and isn’t this classed as a geriatric pregnancy?. Any advice please 🙏🏽 xxxx

How do you know it’s over

I’ve been with my husband 4 years married 2. Over the last year our relationship has changed massively. We’ve gone from being like best friends, laughing, joking and cuddling. We always managed to live easily together and nothing felt like a chore. Now we argue constantly and when we don’t we just get on with our days and don’t really show any affection. Our arguments are bad, raised voices, saying things out of spite and making suggestions of one of us leaving. I’ll put my hands up to me causing some of these however my husband can be very provoking with his reactions and that then riles me up. It’s like we just don’t work together anymore. My 1 year old is definitely much more aware of these things now and I don’t want him being surrounded by tension or arguments. My husband is my first serious relationship so I’ve not experienced a break up before to know the signs it’s all going wrong or isn’t healthy anymore. We are so far from the couple we were I just don’t know how we’d ever get back to that point now.

Dilema

I recently put my child in martial arts. The place is amazing and the instructor is kind and I’ve noticed I might be attracted to him … problem is that I am very married she my husband and I are celebrating our 7 years together next week.

I haven’t even had a real conversation other that just dropping my kid off at class but there’s just something about him. 🫠

I love my husband so so much. Of course we fight and argue like any other relationship but I mean it when I say I don’t ever want to lose him. So now I’m at the point where I’m asking my husband to take our kid to class alone so I don’t see the instructor
