I’ve been with my husband 4 years married 2. Over the last year our relationship has changed massively. We’ve gone from being like best friends, laughing, joking and cuddling. We always managed to live easily together and nothing felt like a chore. Now we argue constantly and when we don’t we just get on with our days and don’t really show any affection. Our arguments are bad, raised voices, saying things out of spite and making suggestions of one of us leaving. I’ll put my hands up to me causing some of these however my husband can be very provoking with his reactions and that then riles me up. It’s like we just don’t work together anymore. My 1 year old is definitely much more aware of these things now and I don’t want him being surrounded by tension or arguments. My husband is my first serious relationship so I’ve not experienced a break up before to know the signs it’s all going wrong or isn’t healthy anymore. We are so far from the couple we were I just don’t know how we’d ever get back to that point now.

Can i ask how old you both are? If its your first serious relationship then I imagine its the first time you've had to deal with a difficult time in your relationship. You decided to get married and have a baby i wouldn't just walk away everyone goes through a tough time in a relationship and it sounds like the two of you got married and had a baby before you ever went through a tough time together. Communication and understanding each other is so key to a relationship. So I would try couples therapy to improve this. Maybe for now you agree to not say things just to be malicious and maybe have a word you agree on to break an argument until you both learn how to communicate differently. I grew up in a house of fighting and nasty things being said and so I made the decision never to engage in that with any partner and in almost 7 years we have never had a fight. I dont know if you can restore your relationship but it'll never happen if you don't both do some work and counselling should help with that. Good luck

So I think all relationships go through ups and downs.
And the truth is relationships/marriage is work, is a choice you make everyday to love one another.
You say you've talked it through and make changes but doesn't last.
That can be normal. I think is a bit like when you try to pick up a new habit you have to be very regimented for a while before it becomes natural.
* Consider professional help
* When you talk make a clear action plan for what you need to connect again.
- if you need weekly date nights, set the exact date time etc.
- if you find yourself being disrespectful towards each other, set rule about what type of things you find disrespectful and vise versa and set rules around how you will call each other out in a respectful manner when the other is being rude..so like if he is saying stuff you know will trigger you. Say "I find what you are saying now triggering please stop, let's take some time to calm down"
- when an issue comes up, agree on how you want to communicate.
Can’t stop crying… just found out I’m expecting. I have a 7 yo son and a 15 month old daughter and up until a month or so ago I really wanted another, then I came to my senses and realised I’m already struggling, my plate is full I want to get back to being myself as I have really lost myself. My partner is how he is… help is limited interms or house work etc I do struggle to keep on top of everything already now I’m wondering how I’m going to cope this could break me. The reason I wanted another was for my youngest to have a sibling with a close age gap. Another worry is that I’m 36 I feel like I’m too old to do this again it’s going to take its toll and isn’t this classed as a geriatric pregnancy?. Any advice please 🙏🏽 xxxx

I’m really struggling with ppd but my boyfriend is also really struggling with his mental health, he’s self harming, drinking more and I feel my relationship is falling apart because I’m constantly feeling guilty for feeling depressed and struggling around him. The other week we were speaking and he told me he couldn’t promise me he wouldn’t kill himself and that’s now a weight I carry around, I feel like every time I go to sleep he hurts himself therefore making me feel awful about sleeping, resulting in me constantly being exhausted because I never get a good nights sleep out of fear of him doing something. It’s not his fault I know but I’m really struggling, I just want things to be ok again. I don’t want to lose him, I love him so so much it hurts. I can’t talk to my mum about it because usually I talk to her if I’m struggling but if I talk to her about him she then comes off really angry towards him and I understand she cares about me and just wants to protect me but I hate feeling like she hates him because her opinion matters so much to me. I don’t really know what to do anymore.

I dont feel physically safe with my man when it comes to his family. They can say and do as they please to me and im just suppose to over look it. He always gets upset or try to down my feelings. Honestly, i dont like telling him stuff because then I feel like i have to prove myself to him for him to believe me.

I feel so sad for him mainly it's big adjustment for him and he'll be getting a new baby sis in a few weeks ....what if he feels different to other children or gets bullied . We have been under optometrist since about just before 1 beacuse he had a lazy eye and now been told astigmatism and long sighted and got given a prescription for glasses . I feel bad like I must if done something wrong in pregnancy or something ive always limited screen time I can't help blaming myself he is so bright and smart and cheeky and really don't want glasses he even told me when he gets them he'll come home and break them and put them in the bin beacuse they will be annoying and keeps saying randomly telling me he can see things and asks if he has to wear them forver my heart breaks I know it's not such a big deal to many but it feels like a big one to me to get glasses at 3 years old . Any tips to feel better or support him to wear them .

I’m pregnant with my second and my husband just told me about a work trip that JUST came up while I’m 33 weeks pregnant. He’ll only be gone for 2 days, but I’m feeling nervous about it. My first came at 35 weeks and I don’t feel comfortable being alone with our toddler for those two nights. My husband thinks its not a big deal but I’m thinking of inviting my parents to visit for support. Am I being overly paranoid?!
