I’m really struggling with ppd but my boyfriend is also really struggling with his mental health, he’s self harming, drinking more and I feel my relationship is falling apart because I’m constantly feeling guilty for feeling depressed and struggling around him. The other week we were speaking and he told me he couldn’t promise me he wouldn’t kill himself and that’s now a weight I carry around, I feel like every time I go to sleep he hurts himself therefore making me feel awful about sleeping, resulting in me constantly being exhausted because I never get a good nights sleep out of fear of him doing something. It’s not his fault I know but I’m really struggling, I just want things to be ok again. I don’t want to lose him, I love him so so much it hurts. I can’t talk to my mum about it because usually I talk to her if I’m struggling but if I talk to her about him she then comes off really angry towards him and I understand she cares about me and just wants to protect me but I hate feeling like she hates him because her opinion matters so much to me. I don’t really know what to do anymore.

Sending hugs. All three of you need to be safe, whatever that looks like with the resources available to you.
I hope you are working with your OB or primary doctor to help with the PPD. The right medications can be literal life savers.
I hope you are able to create a safe environment for you, baby and that your bf can get the help he needs. He doesn’t sound stable right now, and you cannot reason or healthily communicate with someone who is going through what you described.
Hugs mama 🫂
finding a therapist can be an invaluable tool to have a place to unpack this kind of stuff too.
I know that my weekly sessions really help sort my brain out when I’ve got some heavy stuff going on.

Men can have PPD too make sure next time you go in that yall talk about options for him too bc it doesnt always happen but men can get it too atleast thats what my care team told me

This sounds extremely difficult for you and him.
I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling. I will keep you in my prayers.
* Is he seeking support? Is he willing to if you help found him professional help?
* What about you? Are you talking to your doctor about your ppd?
Besides your mum do you and your bf have any other support system? What about his family? Close friend?
His situation sounds like a lot for you alone to deal with when you as lsi have yourself and baby to take care of.
We are being inundated with questions for what we want for our 6 month old for Christmas. Any suggestions for toys or baby gear that has been absolute game changers for your 6 month - 1 years olds?

My baby is 11 weeks old and I’m nowhere near ready to leave her with anyone (besides her dad), is this normal? Doesn’t anyone else feel this way? My in-laws make me feel like I’m being OTT😪

For months now our son constantly rejects my husband. By that I mean he literally runs away from him, hysterically cries when my husband holds him, hits my husband in the face when he tries to pick him up, doesn’t want to look at him, and a bunch of other ways of rejecting him.
I’m exhausted as I have to pretty much do everything to look after our son. My husband is really upset and hurt by being pushed away all of the time. It’s so hard for both of us.
Our son doesn’t do this with anyone else, he’s happy with grandparents, and other key people. This evening in a restaurant my son literally went up to a random lady and she picked him up and he nestled into her. My husband said seeing him do that with a stranger broke his heart as he tries so hard to make a bond with him.
Has anyone else had this? What can we do?
Husband tries to play with him, feed him, give him baths etc, and is very involved. Our son just doesn’t seem to like him.
Help and advice please! We are at breaking point 😭

My baby is due in January 14th and my husband and I live an hour and 20 from his family. We always spend Christmas with them (my family is in America), he has a big family it’s usually 15-20 people all in a small house for Christmas dinner / late night festivities. We’ve made the decision to skip it this Christmas as I would hate to catch something and end pregnancy/go into labor sick. I also don’t love the idea of spending the night somewhere at 36/37 weeks pregnant.
Is anyone else changing their holiday plans because of their January due date? We’ve also discussed limiting all social activities beginning mid December … is that extreme / crazy? I just can’t imagine being so pregnant AND sick 😭

Hey mamas! For those working remotely with babies or toddlers at home and no childcare, how do you make it work?
What kind of jobs do you have, and how do you manage your work hours while taking care of your little ones?
Genuinely curious!
