Hi! I’m a first time mum, my little boy is 8 weeks and he’s brilliant. He was planned and wanted from the get go. I love him so much and we’re building a great relationship but I feel like we are best friends as opposed to me being a mum to him. I don’t know if I’m partially struggling with a change in identity. I’m 35, always worked a demanding job, managed to do most of the things I’d wanted to do in life by this point, I’ve been very lucky.. I’ve always known who I am, I’ve never struggled with my identity before. now life is slower, more simplistic and I find myself trying to figure out who I am now. Sorry to go in to detail but I just wondered if anyone else has had similar feelings? Hoping I’m not the only one in this boat x

You’re only 8 weeks into being a new version of you and that’s ok! It takes a while to work out who we are after having a child and you’ll get there. Don’t worry too much about it, it’s perfectly normal. I’m six weeks pp with my second and trying to work out who I am again.

I can definitely relate to this! I'm also 35 and the identity change is just weird, I love this little human so much but I cannot believe I'm his mum. I'm sure things will settle going forward, it's very early days still x
Has anyone decided when you will start maternity leave? I’m leaning towards starting as early as possible which would be at 29 weeks, would love to have time to fully prepare for baby and also have time to relax and take time for myself before not having much free time for a very long time

We haven’t had sex since I’ve become pregnant. So about a year and a half now.

My husband and I had sex on Monday … It’s a very rare occurrence these days (as most Moms can understand). We both showered together and I took a little longer. When I got to bed, he was on his phone … looking at fantasy football. Should I be upset about this? Because I felt a little hurt.

hii 🥹💕 I’m looking for a long-distance friend I can genuinely connect with! Someone to talk to throughout the day, send random updates to, vent to, and share the little things in life with. I’m a SAHM to my almost 8-month-old son, and I love gaming 🎮 I’d love to meet someone I can get close to, even if we live far away.🫶🏻🕺

It's funny, I reply but when I send out a message you don't respond. It's annoying when it shows that you're online. In my opinion, that deliberately shows that you are not interested in connecting and I'm just going to block you why waste our time
