Unsupportive partner advice

Hey!! So I just want some advice and someone from an outside perspective to tell me their opinion on this.
My partner works in London and doesn’t get home until 7.30pm. Twice this week I have allowed him to have a long bath after work as he works in construction and had an achy back. Today, my girl has been so unsettled, crying most of the day on and off and just wanting to be held. She has not let me put her down and when I do she screams. I have been unable to shower or even get dressed today. This has been the case for the last couple of days. Cut to tonight, I came upstairs at 10.15pm to give my baby a bottle before I put her down for the night. My partner says that he is going to stay downstairs till about midnight so he can game (be on his Xbox). I then asked him if he wouldn’t mind putting the baby to bed so I could go straight to sleep instead as I am absolutely exhausted and feeling the load mentally today. Bear in mind I wouldn’t normally ask this of him but he had just told me he was going to be awake until midnight, by choice. He then pulls the “I’ve been out the house for 14 hours I need to rest”. I literally do everything for the baby. He hasn’t done a single nappy in about 2 weeks. I asked him if he could change her nappy whilst I made her bottle and he goes “well what if it’s a poo nappy”. Sorry but do I have a right to be annoyed and extremely frustrated? Or should I be more forgiving to the fact he has long days working

I would be upset. Honestly girl i get it he is working but he should realize that you take care of the baby all day and want a little R&R time sounds like he just doesn’t care anymore about your mental health which is important

He is like man child instead of an adult that's responsible for a baby. He needs to put you and the baby first he's so selfish

Yeah, this guy needs to get with it. Do you know if he has any good connection with his parents? His mom or his dad? If you can, maybe see if you can encourage him to have a chat with somebody he knows and trusts who has kids. One of my cousins had this issue and his dad sat him down and educated him on what he needed to be doing because he was not stepping up. It really is such a short time that babies are massively demanding like this. You have to sacrifice on both ends. He's working 14 hours out of the house, but you're on call 24/7. You need a break, you need to be able to go to sleep early. Honestly depending on how old your baby is, he can game with the baby on his lap.

I would be more than upset. My husband works upwards of 80 hours a week and still just volunteers to do stuff for/with the baby. He feels terrible that he sometimes isn’t home for 16 hours at a time then has to go right to sleep for his shift that same night.

Ladies, make sure you have financial backup! Always have a plan

It’s not all men but it does happen!

Hi, I’m Kate. I went through a separation almost 6 months ago after being a stay at home mom for 5 years. I have a degree in biology. I tried to get a job for two years but my ex told me no. Now that we split up, I looked for jobs for months with no one responding to my emails or applications. When employers find out I haven’t worked in 5 years, they don’t call back. The jobs who will hire me, do not pay enough to cover even half of my bills or childcare. So I’m coming on here to just remind you ladies that yes, many husbands are amazing and supportive and will take the weight. And if something happens, you will still be protected. But not all husbands or partners will do that. I’m guessing most will not. So please, if you have a partner who has never been a good provider, if your relationship is rocky. Get a job. Get a remote job. Get a side gig JUST IN CASE. I’m now relying on my little hobby-turned business to make enough money to pay bills and it is a slow slow process. Everyday is stressful. Every bill is late. I should have found remote work years ago as a backup when I knew in my heart that someday I would leave. Take care of yourselves ladies. You’re already taking the load of childcare and everything else so I know it’s a lot, but if you have any doubt at all about your relationship, make sure you have a plan! Don’t be like me

How do I deal with this

So my parents have been looking after my cat for the last three days, I have travelled with my husband because he had a job away and I didn't want to be left alone with a four month old baby, who's teething and screaming before bed most nights, I need the support. My mum at first couldn't understand why I would go and thought I would be better at home, I explained that I can cope with the days but the nights are difficult, I know I got my parents and his parents but I somehow just want my husband. I went, anyway my neighbour is on holiday and I had to ask my parents.
My parents can be quite brutal with their opinions, especially with how messy I can be, I have got better since marriage but has to suddenly empty a room for our baby's nursery sooner than we expected, our baby was born five weeks early, which we didn't expect and I spent nearly two weeks in hospital, I was thrown in the deep end as I never managed to get to classes or sort the house out before the baby's arrival, I was about to start my last week of work and have a week holiday then go on maternity leave two weeks before the birth, none of this happened. Well the family bathroom is now a tip and a dumpling ground for anything and everything, I am trying to sort it but I am also got to care for the baby, my husband's job has got busier, longer days, more nights away and weekend jobs, that leaves with the baby more. I am also on the waiting list for therapy because of how difficult it was for me with everything surrounding the baby's birth, I think PTSD was thrown around by the therapist.
Well back to the story, I had to ask my dad to feed our cat, last night my mum texted me saying we both have different ideas for cleaning, I fired off an angry text saying that wasn't fair with everything I had been through. Well I had to ring her to check something and my dad was on the phone criticizing me for the state of the house especially the bathroom, saying he would help by getting a black bag to it all, I got my personal possessions on there that I need to sort out, I lost a room when my husband began the nursery, my husband heard and is now fuming, my parents can judge and won't listen to anything we say, they think I am lazy but I am struggling with my mental health and have a baby, my husband said he had no right to go upstairs on the first place, I now fed up and won't be asking my dad again, we are probably going to have a no visitor policy now and I am scared of what my husband will say to my dad when he sees him and I feel my dad stepped over the line. I am doing the room but it's taking longer because my husband says he would help but his work is getting on the way, I don't want to lose my marriage because of this, help

Should I be worrying

I had health visitor round the other day and my son gained weight but dropped in percentile, she told me that I should wake him up in the night for more feeds, as apparently he shouldn’t be going 4-5 without a feed? Am I in the wrong for this? I feel bad for waking him up and for a feed and got a toddler to deal with aswell and I feel if start waking up more and more in evening I’m going to go really sleep deprived and feel useless mum to my toddler, as when I lack sleep it makes me really unwell.

But I also thought was okay to let a baby sleep 4-5 hours… anyway? Am I wrong again? Please give me advice x

I never had this problem with my toddler, he was always on track, this was first time, and health visitor made me anxious as hell, and made me feel like useless mum I don’t think she realised that she trigger me. My moods just changed from happy to useless as I’m suffering depression from my bad experience from hospital and c section not healing right.
