Hi all, our little one is 1 week 2 days and will not tolerate being on her back in anything we are having to take shifts to hold her overnight so the other one can sleep but obviously this can’t last forever and I’m so scared one of us is going to fall asleep holding her, she will sleep in her bouncer in the day as she’s more upright - any ideas?
We have tried making her next to me smell like us, we are trying different swaddles to see what helps her feel most secure I put her down and she will only give us about 10 minutes before she will start fussing leading to bawling if we don’t notice because we have fallen asleep

Does she have reflux?

My baby is 10 days old and exactly the same - it’s really frightening and I’m just hoping she grows out of it soon. She does seem to be slightly less fussy than she was last week, so it might slowly improve?

Have you tried warming the next to me first with a hot water bottle? The reflux question is also a good one, my son was like this and had really bad reflux. My husband and I took turns sleeping with him in a sling on the sofa in order for us to get any sleep. However, we found a moses basket worked better than a next to me at first, as its a smaller space and easier for the little ones to feel safe

Sounds a bit like reflux as she is sleeping in the bouncer during the day which keeps her upright. I have seen a lot of advertisements for the pishuw dream cradle
Not sure if this is something worth a try?

I would look into safe chest sleeping so that you can be reassured you're safe if you accidentally fall asleep.

This was exactly the same as my first born! I thought reflux, but it wasn’t. She had lots of tension from her birth and her positioning in the womb, so we took her to a cranial osteopath and it was only then we started to see long stretches at night on her own.
A lot of it was also down to her temperament. She was (and still is) a very sensitive little soul and needed than proximity from us. I was terrified of falling asleep with her, but co-sleeping is safe if done safely (which includes chest sleeping). Happy Cosleeper on instagram gives lots of free advice on how to do this.
Hope that helps ❤️

My baby was the same for the first week or so and still struggles with daytime naps if they aren't contact. I found that even with a swaddle she was still able to flinch her legs a lot which was waking her up so we still had a thin blanket tucked tightly into the mattress over the top of her lower half so that her legs felt secure too. I hope you find something that works, keep trying different things and I'm sure you'll get there! 🤞🏻💕

It might be worth going to a chiropractor or osteopath? A friend had this and they could suggest some reasons why? X
Nights are hell. Eg we started trying to put him to sleep at 8:30 and he slept at 11pm (yday was midnight) Bear IN MIND WE COSLEEP SO IMAGINE IF WE DIDNT. he woke up at 12 so only slept 1h and we’ve been trying to put him down ever since. It’s now 2:30. We’re both in pain from rocking him for hours and exhausted. Health issues are covered. Doesn’t have cmpa- trialled already. Has reflux - on gaviscon and omeprazole. We want to give up. Don’t know what to do anymore.

I just don't know what to do. My 3 year old daughter has not pooed since Wednesday. She was prescribed lactolose on Thursday but that won't have helped the poo that was brewing.
She keeps holding it in, rather than sit on a potty or even open herself up a bit. She takes a banana shape backwards, clenching her bum. She now desperately needs to go but just won't or can't.
I really don't want to go to A&E on a Sunday (current wait time is 7 hours!) over a child who won't poo but we're getting to that stage. She's obviously in pain when the need to poo arises but I don't know if the pain is from holding it in or pushing.
Any advice? 😖

Do you use a dishwasher to wash baby bottles?

Hiya mamas! I’m 6 months pp and cosleeping (I have ben trying to get my boy to sleep in his next to me but he wakes up on transfers - it is a constant struggle) but my back is absolutely killing me! Am I the only one?! How can I try and help my baby settle in his own sleep space? I’ve tried feet first, holding him close until he is down, even me leaning into the next to me so I can feed him to sleep then I move after he’s asleep but he wakes up within 5 mins😭. He was doing so well in the next to me at about 4 months then got a cold then started teething so trying to start again now he’s settling better again but I’m so uncomfortable I want to cry😭
I think I’m looking for sympathy and solutions😂😂

My 7 week old has always been an amazing sleeper. He eats a lot during the day so sleeps long stretches at night. He used to wake up at 1am and 4am for milk, first he dropped the 4am and recently the 1am. He sleeps roughly 11pm-7am. I’m choosing to believe I’m lucky and he will do this forever 😂
