Long sleep stretches

My 7 week old has always been an amazing sleeper. He eats a lot during the day so sleeps long stretches at night. He used to wake up at 1am and 4am for milk, first he dropped the 4am and recently the 1am. He sleeps roughly 11pm-7am. I’m choosing to believe I’m lucky and he will do this forever 😂

Enjoy it! It might last, it might not, but right now it's good and that's okay ❤️

We’re having some longer stretches now, about the same timings as you which we feel very lucky for. I am worried she doesn’t eat loads during the day despite us regularly offering her milk

He may well do! My eldest was sleeping through the night from 6 weeks- literally 10 hours, we had the odd moments over the years where he'd wake once or twice... Teething, illness etc, but he still sleeps through. I do have friends though who hit the 4m development and sleep went out the window.

My September boy is currently hit and miss, sometimes he does a 5/6 hour stretch then a 4 before I get up, sometimes he just wakes every 3-3.5, definitely milk dependant on what we get haha.

Thats amazing! Last night mine slept from 10.45pm til 5.45am, our longest stretch ever! I had to pump a little at 4am lol as I was so full and didnt know what to do! Im scared to dream haha. My first baby slept 7-10 hours from around 8 or 9 weeks and to be fair that lasted about 6 weeks until the 4 month sleep regression, but who knows with this one!

At wits end with 12 week old

Nights are hell. Eg we started trying to put him to sleep at 8:30 and he slept at 11pm (yday was midnight) Bear IN MIND WE COSLEEP SO IMAGINE IF WE DIDNT. he woke up at 12 so only slept 1h and we’ve been trying to put him down ever since. It’s now 2:30. We’re both in pain from rocking him for hours and exhausted. Health issues are covered. Doesn’t have cmpa- trialled already. Has reflux - on gaviscon and omeprazole. We want to give up. Don’t know what to do anymore.

How are we all sleeping?

I have a 3 week old who doesn’t seem to sleep more than 3 hrs at a time. After feeding, winding and settling down I have about 2hrs before she’s waking again for another feed, bum change, etc. she is refusing to settle with anyone else at the moment, so I’ve not been able to catch a break!

I’m having migraine attacks from the lack of sleep, and while the doctors have been able to provide me with medication for the pain, the practicalities of taking it and sleeping the migraines off just isn’t viable with a newborn.

Anyone else in the same boat and fancies crying with me?😂

My daughter won't poo (severe constipation)

I just don't know what to do. My 3 year old daughter has not pooed since Wednesday. She was prescribed lactolose on Thursday but that won't have helped the poo that was brewing.

She keeps holding it in, rather than sit on a potty or even open herself up a bit. She takes a banana shape backwards, clenching her bum. She now desperately needs to go but just won't or can't.

I really don't want to go to A&E on a Sunday (current wait time is 7 hours!) over a child who won't poo but we're getting to that stage. She's obviously in pain when the need to poo arises but I don't know if the pain is from holding it in or pushing.

Any advice? 😖

Do you use a dishwasher to wash baby bottles?

Help, sleep deprived and full of cold!

We have a 2.5 week old. Both my husband and me are full of cold and now our Daughter is. Last night I managed 4.5/5hours sleep (4 hours being from 11:30pm till 3:30pm). Tonight she is only contact sleeping on our chests. I really need her to sleep in her “next to me” but she will not settle. I’m scared of falling asleep with her on me. She’s only settling either on her side or on her tummy. What can I do? Would you sleep with her on you and just make sure you’re propped up by pillows or do you have any tips/tricks to get her to sleep in her cot?
