Milestones

Where is your little one with their milestones/ development?

My son is 6 months in 11 days and still hasn’t rolled over from back to tummy, he’s done tummy to back at most a couple of times but no matter what I do to help and encourage him to roll there is nothing he doesn’t seem bothered.

Don’t want to be one for comparing kids but when my daughter was at his age she was crawling, fully aware all kids develop differently and do things in their own time but being nearly 6 months and not bothered about rolling is this something to be concerned about??

Babies typically learn to roll from back to belly between 5 and 7 months of age (though some start as early as 4 months or take up to 7.5 months) so at 6 months I dont thinks its a concern yet. My son didnt even bother attempting to roll back to belly then the next day was doing it non stop. They'll do it when they want to

Was 6 months on 21st April and only rolled back to belly 2 days ago, can’t roll the other way. He can sit independently.

My first didn’t crawl until almost 10 months! & only ever rolled one way until he crawled.

They’re all so different 😊

Milestones aren’t as black and white as a single month. Most are pretty big windows. Don’t stress, rolling is more typical of around 5-7 months. We’re fed content about babies that can do x, y and z and it’s just not the norm for lots of babies 🙂 your second might just be a lot more chill! It’ll come 🖤

My boy is the opposite and is rolling back to belly (only on his right side!) And cannot roll himself back over. Comparing him to the other babies at baby class helps, they're all so different!

Bath times-how many times a week

So I need to ask how many times do I need to bathe my baby, I usually do it three times a week, I did her last night and will have a bath on Tuesday night, it's mainly a shower with mum as I can't access the bath at the moment but I am 100% safe with her in there but I found if I did it with her she sleeps better, she's five months old.
I usually strip her off, get into the shower and use an old mam bottle to pour water over her, wash her hair and body, gently and carefully, I use a muzzy to help hold her, then I dry her and put on lotion that for nights, like Nalas oil, which is amazing and smells divine. But should I be doing it more or not

Back pain

Hiya mamas! I’m 6 months pp and cosleeping (I have ben trying to get my boy to sleep in his next to me but he wakes up on transfers - it is a constant struggle) but my back is absolutely killing me! Am I the only one?! How can I try and help my baby settle in his own sleep space? I’ve tried feet first, holding him close until he is down, even me leaning into the next to me so I can feed him to sleep then I move after he’s asleep but he wakes up within 5 mins😭. He was doing so well in the next to me at about 4 months then got a cold then started teething so trying to start again now he’s settling better again but I’m so uncomfortable I want to cry😭

I think I’m looking for sympathy and solutions😂😂

Should I be worried or is this normal?

My little boy is almost 14 months & everything still goes in his mouth. I appreciate that’s how they explore etc but I’m talking cardboard, fluff, crumbs off the floor. I Hoover and tidy so much but anything I miss then straight in his mouth!
I’ve taken him to the park and he just sit on the floor and puts the leaves and twigs in his mouth?
Please tell me this is a phase that they grow out of?

Baby will not sleep in anything on her back

Hi all, our little one is 1 week 2 days and will not tolerate being on her back in anything we are having to take shifts to hold her overnight so the other one can sleep but obviously this can’t last forever and I’m so scared one of us is going to fall asleep holding her, she will sleep in her bouncer in the day as she’s more upright - any ideas?
We have tried making her next to me smell like us, we are trying different swaddles to see what helps her feel most secure I put her down and she will only give us about 10 minutes before she will start fussing leading to bawling if we don’t notice because we have fallen asleep
