Private Scan

I think it will be ok . I was 4 or 5 weeks exactly when I had my first ultrasound maybe a little bit further along .

It’s very early, usually this is the first day clinics will even see you. If your dates are exact there is a chance you may see something. Usually heartbeat is slightly later in that week.

You’ll not see much other than a sack and a small dot - we got one done when I was about 6 weeks and turns out I was like 5 weeks and 5 days .. they may ask if your comfortable getting an internal scan as they might not see much on your belly which is what happened with me x

I went for an early scan and while it was nice getting the reassurance the baby is okay you don’t see a lot on the scan

It’ll look like an octopus at this stage, it’s good to get a scan to see where it’s located for sure. Definitely get one at 16weeks tho. I went at 6 and 20 weeks and found my cervix to be short. Wish I would have known to go at 16 weeks for a cervix measurement to know if it was normal or shrunk. Thankfully nothing ever came of it but did give us a scare for a few weeks

I didn’t have a private one but had one at the early pregnancy unit in the hospital as I was bleeding at 6w+3
Could see the heart beat flicker on the screen

Seems a bit early. I wouldn't do one until 8 or 9 weeks

It is very very early for a scan. Even my IVF clinic didn't want to see me until 7 weeks because there is a chance you might not see much at all at 6 weeks, especially if there's any chance your dates might not be quite right. That being said, I did see the heartbeat at 6+3. If you can wait until towards the end of 6 weeks or Beyond in to 7 weeks that would be better.
