I love my husband but I don’t like him. My husband is an amazing dad and he treats me very well but I just don’t feel as attracted to him anymore. We’ve had a lot go on the past couple months but I can’t shake this thought from my head. He has done some things that have made me see him different but I don’t say anything because it always makes it worse and then I look like the monster for not feeling the same way about the situation. For example, we have always had this thing where we have spent everyday together since we got together but a few months ago my mental health was doing really bad and I needed a little space to clear it and I went to my mom’s for 2 days and he wouldn’t stop blowing up my phone and he made me feel like a monster for not being able to go home after one night. He still brings it up now even after I explained I was doing bad mentally and he thinks he can fix anything as long as I’m with him. To say it in a simpler way, he is very clingy. I don’t like using that word because I don’t think it’s a bad thing but god he is so suffocating. I have put off posting this for a while because I thought it might have just been one of my random mood things I get but it started making me feel really depressed. The thing is I don’t think I could ever leave him. We have our 8 month daughter and he is amazing with her and he treats me amazingly and my family always tells me that I couldn’t have found a better man. I love him but I don’t think it’s in the same way I use to. I really didn’t want to make this post bc then it makes it real but I’ve been extremely depressed and I was wondering if anyone else ever went through something like this or have any advice.

I think couples counseling and talk therapy would really benefit you and him. I do think that him constantly bringing up you staying at your moms for a night is not normal. My husband and I can be clingy but we are completely fine with not being around each other for a few days. I have gone on girls weekends and he has gone to guys weekends and I also have to occasionally travel for work. I can understand if you go away and the miss you that’s normal and texting while you are away but it is another to be blowing up your phone and then constantly making you feel like you did something wrong for needing a couple days. You also sound like you might be burned out which doesn’t help. Sending positive vibes and that you find the answer you are looking for

That first year after having a baby is so tough. You're both going through a lot of changes, and your relationship changes too. I think the advice you've gotten about couples counselling is a great idea. It's clear the love is still there, you just need to find the spark again. It also sounds like you're not communicating with each other very effectively, and counselling could really help with that.

Your feelings are completely valid. His views are unhealthy because one, he can’t fix everything. Humans are community based and we can’t possibly have all our needs met by one person. And honestly that sounds very isolating for you that he can’t even give you the space for you to go to your mom’s. Secondly, when someone who loves and respects you, will respect your boundaries when you say you need a couple days away. It seems very insecure of him that he can’t be away from you for 2 days. He needs to seek professional help, cuz his views aren’t healthy and it’s gonna suffocate you. And thirdly, it’s also not healthy or helpful to keep bringing it up. Cuz you did nothing wrong! And what’s worse is you feel like a monster for wanting 2 days for yourself! Like seriously this is beyond clingy, this is unhealthy and he needs help cuz he sounds dependent and/insecure. And you need time away without feeling you did something wrong, cuz again you did nothing wrong

Its a red flag if you're asking for space and he cannot respect you and give it to you. I have days where i flat out tell my husband "I just need some time alone" not that he or my son has done anything wrong. He and my son will go out and about and come home later and I'm good. Sometimes we just get so overwhelmed we need some time alone to collect ourselves. Your husband and you can still co parent and both parties can still be amazing parents even if you are not together. You shouldn't stay if you are miserable just because you have a child together. That child will grow up in a home and see the disconnect and think that is what a home should look like. You need to figure out what you want. If you want to stay with him you have got to teach him to give you space and respect your boundaries.

I understand you. Find hobbies , get your nails done . Go a day on a spa . Don’t forget about yourself . Maybe you spend too much time doing nothing that makes you feel good . Go to the gym . Go to Pilates . Have a friends date . Keep your mind busy . Go for a walk and some fresh air . Take time for yourself .
We are on holiday with my 1 year old baby! I was washing few things outside on the bathroom which is outdoor, and he kept calling me because the baby was crying! I shouted and said “omg why instead of you shouting at me you do something to keep your baby calm” he grabbed me through my arm and started shouting “ why are you always shouting! I am constantly embarrassed by you!” He said some many hurtful things that it’s not even worth mentioned! But the thing is, I feel he is a good guy but he actually doesn’t love me! So he feels frustrated! I just don’t know how I will start my life over! Just for context, we do not fight all the time! We do get along pretty well! But when he is frustrated I feel he liberates his hidden hatred! I just don’t know what to do! I know tnrw he will say sorry that he loves me bla bla!

Has anyone been cheated on and stayed and things got better?
My partner cheated on me last night. She came home really late and seemed a bit flighty, after a lengthy conversation she explained that a few drinks led from one thing to another and it all “just happened”. And if it was a kiss maybe I could get past it, but it was sex and I’m struggling.
I don’t want to make rash decisions and leave her but I’m struggling to process it all. I have 3 kids who rely on me so I don’t get a chance to grieve my relationship, I just have to carry on and I have no friends to tell. She’s gone to her friends house for a few days to give me space and I’ve had a headache and nausea that’s not shifted. I’m just really heartbroken rn and maybe it would be easy to move on if she was horrible but she’s not, she’s amazing with our kids, she’s always done everything for me and I just don’t know where to go from here.
I don’t want to hear that I should leave her, I want to hear from people who have gone through this and things eventually got better

My daughter has a shared bus stop. There’s another little girl at the stop, and I’d like to talk about what I witnessed this morning and if this is something you’d report.
Today, I witnessed the mom search her daughter’s back pack at the bus stop and confiscated a hairbrush. She told her daughter school is not a fashion show and she’s not allowed to brush her hair. The little girls hair is matted and she told her mom the teacher could fix it and asked her to bring a brush, so the mom went off the wall that she’s going to get the teacher fired and open a lawsuit against the school for inappropriately touching her child without consent. Her daughter asked if she could please just brush her hair so the other girls didn’t say she looked scruffy, and mom told her once again school is about learning and not a fashion show. She then said a he’d make her a hair appointment to cut it all off so they didn’t have to worry about the matting, but the girl was crying she just wanted to brush it out and have long pretty hair. Her mom was very angry and told her again it’s not a fashion show. She got on the bus crying, with no hair brush and it was left untouched.
I’ve seen other small things before, like not letting her take her backpack to school and the little girl crying that she’d get in trouble for not having it and the man (not sure if it’s her dad) telling her it’s her fault, even though they had plenty of time to go back for the backpack.
I mean I know people parent differently, but this just felt cruel. Brushing your hair is about hygiene not fashion. Am i overreacting?

Frustrated and venting. Not looking for the standard “divorce him” comment.
Told my husband sorry for blaming him for something and he said “you’re always wrong” with such smug conviction. Which pissed me off and makes me not want to do a damn thing for him.
I have a lot of other things I could say but for respect to God I won’t 🙄.
Just mad and didn’t want to hold this one in.

My fiancé has told me twice now he doesn't think I'm doing a good enough job or enough as a mom and I've disappointed him. Our son is 5 weeks old tomorrow. His main complaint is that I don't seem happy enough when he gets home from work and I act like spending all day raising our son is a chore and he would like time to relax after work instead of me immediately asking him to do something or "bombarding him as soon as he walks in the door". I handle all the night feedings, he's done it twice since he was born to let me sleep, and he's gotten up with him in the morning twice. He was upset with me on Saturday for asking him to get up with him at 8:30 so I could sleep in because he wanted just one day to sleep in. I understand his frustration but I don't think I deserved that. I'm a first time mom, I'm still figuring this all out, and I just had a c-section 5 weeks ago, and I havent slept more than 3 hours straight since he was born because even on the nights he gets up with him I have to pump. I am excited when he gets home from work because I have a person to talk to and someone to share this with. I see why he's frustrated but I don't think he's giving me enough grace or putting himself in my perspective. He says I feel like a stranger to him now, he's disappointed, and he's not sure he wants to marry me anymore. I don't know what to do.
