My mom hates me for being pregnant

Im 20years old and im still in college so I can see why she would be a little upset about me being pregnant, but i feel like she could atleast show some sort of support instead she’s acting like i just revealed im a drug addict at 13 years old. I told her during my first trimester that I was pregnant and she did not believe me and called me a liar, after my lease ended I decided to move back in since it was becoming very hard on me financially to live on my own. Now i’m halfway through my second trimester and my bump is obviously more noticeable so she asked me why I look so fat, I told her i’m pregnant and that this wasn’t my first time telling her, she immediately told me I have no business being in her house if i’m pregnant, that i’ll never finish college, and that i’m just stupid for doing this. She didn’t show a lick of concern such as is the pregnancy healthy or have I been visiting an OB.. nothing. I have no idea what to do moving forward, I don’t want to live here anymore with such hostile energy but I don’t even have a job or enough money saved up to leave. I don’t have any other family members I could stay with and I just feel so incredibly hurt that she’s showing such hatred towards me when she did the same thing as well (pregnant with me at 20 herself)

You’re gonna have to block her negative thoughts out because then they’re done that my mom was mad as hell when I was pregnant at 21. I would get a therapist if you can.

I’m sorry! Definitely focus on getting a job and even considering room for rent if needed.

My mom tried to make me get an abortion when I was 17 (she didn’t care the 32 year old man she was getting drugs from/ sleeping with/ lived with us was the reason I was pregnant) . I moved in with my grandma and when my daughter was three my mother came around and put alcohol in her juice (luckily something told me to try the juice) anyway my grandma called the cops on her to get her off her property and my mom told the cops I give my child alcohol and I’m legally not supposed to have her and the man who 🍇 me and her had custody. Anyway being pregnant made me stand up to my mom and kick her out of my life. And I have not seen her in 6 years and hope to never see her again. Kids are a blessing each child will bring something special, if you’re mom can’t support you she doesn’t deserve you. Hopefully, there are women’s shelters you can go to or get a job work a lot to be able to get away. Being a mom you will find strength out of nowhere 💗

Ooh I’m angry for you. I’m so sorry your mom is being so awful. I hope you can find a place to go and set up boundaries and get the support and care you need. Ugh and if she suddenly decides shes all entitled to visit baby after she treated you so horribly and has NOT been valuing the human life in your womb already, that’s be a big fat NO from me 🙅🏻‍♀️ Yeah sure college is important but I’d argue that your baby is even more so. College can come later, that is ok. So bizarre because she should be showing empathy since you said she also got pregnant at the same age but I guess she had different expectations and plans for you and is choosing hostility….So sad. Take care of yourself 🫂

Breastfeeding or Bottle feeding?

I'm curious to hear people's experiences and perspectives on breastfeeding versus formula feeding.

For those who chose to breastfeed, what were the main reasons behind your decision? And for those who chose formula feeding, what influenced your choice?

For those who've done both, or switched from one to the other, I'd love to hear about that experience too.

Was it personal preference, health reasons, convenience, the bonding aspect, feeding challenges, or something else entirely?

I'm genuinely interested in understanding the different reasons behind people's choices and experiences. No judgement whatsoever – just curious to hear different perspectives, particularly as I'm navigating my own feeding journey at the moment.

How soon after giving birth did you start going out with baby ?

Baby is only a few days old and hubby is doing drop off and stuff with the toddler so these no rush for me to go out but not sure when I fancy going out!

ITS ALWAYS MY FAULT

So I've noticed a pattern when it comes to my baby daddy.
If he don't remember
Failed to notice
Didn't understand
Didnt check
Failed to act
IT SOMEHOW BECOMES MY FAULT
When I try to accommodate his messed up perspective he calls me or my actions dumb. I don't ever feel like arguing with him cause he'll never listen cause HES "I KNOW IM RIGHT" type person
THEN HE'S ALWAYS SCREAMING ABOUT WOMEN ONLY WANTING OBEDIENCE FROM MEN

Extremely sensitive baby

Struggling at the moment with baby getting very over stimulated when we go out anywhere. Little one is 8 months and has always been very sensitive and gets overstimulated easily. She is breastfed so boob has always been her comfort, but recently she refuses to feed when out and about because shes so distracted with the world, but then has full blown meltdowns because shes hungry/tired. I've tried nursing covers, moving to a quieter place, giving her something to fiddle with but nothing seems to work and I feel completely lost that i'm not able to calm her down and comfort her with boob. We went to our first playgroup today, something I've avoided until now due to my own social anxiety and although it was lovely, I came away feeling really upset and defeated because as much as I know every baby is different, its heartbreaking seeing every other baby happy, smiling and playing or breastfeeding like a dream when my baby spent the entire time wanting to be cuddled and rocked and then had to leave early because she was getting upset from all the noise and was tired but unable to sleep.
She will be starting nursery in a few months and i'm really worried that she wont settle well there as shes always been a terrible napper, very clingy with me and has gotten very used to 1 on 1 play, whereas the nursery she will be going to has 1 staff member per 3 children. I desperately want to enjoy the last little bit of my maternity leave and have lots of fun with her out and about, and also get her used to busier environments and different faces but recently every time we have gone out she has got so upset and I feel guilty. We just had 2 lovely chilled days at home and she was the happiest she's ever been so i feel torn!
Ot doesnt really help that unfortunately we've had several people comment on how grumpy she is or be judgemental about how we 'pander' to her and its amplified my anxiety so much and made me feel like a really crappy mum.
Has anyone else who has experienced a super grumpy/sensitive baby got any tips for going out? When did it start to get better? And how did you ease the transition into nursery?

Awake periods

How many hours are your 7 week olds awake in a 24 hour period? I feel like my baby boy is sleeping too much.

6pm Naps?!

My little girl (15 weeks) has started falling asleep for what would be her 3rd nap of the day (normally) at around 5:30/6pm. 😴 I’ve been working on winding her down from 7pm - bath, feed, bed, but when she actually decides to fall asleep is anyone’s guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The last two nights she has taken a lot longer to settle, and I’m pointing the finger at this 6pm nap that she seems to desperately need. I don’t want to keep her awake and overtired, so would moving her bedtime to 6pm work or potentially bite me in the backside during the night/early hours? Generally she only wakes once between 2 and 4am for a feed/change. 🤞🏼

I’m well aware the 4 month regression is potentially round the corner anyway so I might be deeping this unnecessarily, but any tips are welcome!
