Hey, my bf has decided that HE is overwhelmed and after an escalated argument (over something minor) it would be a good idea to pack a few things and dissappear. Days later after being ignored, I finally get a response that he is breaking up with me and moving, but expecting me to keep his stuff and wait until he finds a place.
I am devastated beyond words because for the first time things between us were getting better and arguments less serious - I felt so blindsided. The day before we are talking about marriage and buying books (me) about how to handle conflict better to this.
I love him a lot but it seems I will be raising my boy alone. Any single moms or single pregnant mommies out there? I could really use some advise on this. I feel so overwhelmed and heartbroken .

I was single for 5 months of my first pregnancy although I was still kind of seeing him from time to time he was doing stuff behind my back. I felt heartbroken as it was my first baby I was excited and wanted that perfect family life. I felt so lonely throughout a lot of my pregnancy despite having friends and some family around. It wasn’t a nice experience so I can feel you on this one. I just had to power through and think of my baby and how great life was going to be once he was here. My baby was the reason I kept going. Your baby feels everything you feel so you have to try and stay positive although I know that’s easier said than done. You may be able to work things out with him? If it was over a few minor things maybe he will come round see sense and apologise but if he doesn’t just know you’ll be an amazing mum. Motherhood can be hard don’t get me wrong and especially if you are new to it. But I hope you have a support system around you so you’re not completely on your own.

But you will navigate everything and everything happens for a reason try to stay strong. And I’m sorry this has happened to you x

And I did end up back with my sons dad in the end but it was a very rocky process but now we are expecting our second son so things can get better x
Hey Corrie, thanks for your messages. It's hard, he tend to escalate disagreement into arguments, threaten to break- up/move-out. His main coping mechanisms is to run away. I can't even count how many time he has broken up wirh me in a year and a half. It has been 5 times since I found out I was pregnant.
I do want to work it out, but how if every argument threatens the survival of the relationship? I feel so hopeless.
How did you and your partner worked it out in the end?

You’re welcome 🩷and I agree that must be very hard. He needs to learn to control his emotions better and actually consider the fact you’re pregnant. Men will never fully understand as they never have to go through it. If he’s constantly like that then you deserve so much better anyway! Maybe see how things are when the baby’s born and things are still the same then maybe go your separate ways but try to coparent for your child. And in the end I just had to forgive him for the things he done when I was pregnant. We agreed to get back together when my son was born and try work things out don’t get me wrong I’d say for the first maybe 6 months of my sons life things were still up and down and things still haven’t been perfect since and he’s now 2 but I feel like if you truly love someone you just find a way to make it work. But good communication is definitely key for a relationship to work out. We try to have date nights when we can or a bit of time to ourselves. X
What porridge is everyone giving to their babies? I was buying the tesco super smooth porridge in the big box but it has been out of stock for weeks! Any recommendations? Have tried normal Quaker Oats but my son prefers the smooth texture. Have also used formula branded porridge but it’s in such a small bag and doesn’t last us long at all. He is 9 months old. Thanks!

Hi, I'm going to visit a potential nursery tomorrow for my LO. She'll be just under 1yr when she starts.
Does anyone have any suggestions on questions I should make sure to ask or anything I should be looking out for?
TIA

Does anyone suffer with PPR? I only get it when I'm putting my boy to bed and I have NO idea why. It's completely illogical and irrational but when he's messing around and won't settle I feel the fire rising in me. I get so enraged. Id never hurt him or anything I just have to walk out and take a minute to calm down.

My son started pre-k this year. It's been becoming stressful for me, almost once a week the teacher has to talk to me about my son hitting other kids, they put him on time out and he thinks it's funny. Today he almost got sent to the office. What can I do to improve his behavior?
Also if there are any good book recommendations on parenting?
Thanks.

Without sounding insensitive to my LO, is anyone else’s baby super clingy. I am a ftm and finding a lot of the time I can’t leave my baby longer than a hour or two without him hysterically crying at this point I will come back and take over from dad or grandparents. I cannot do a lot of basic necessities for myself a lot of days.. sometimes he won’t even want to sit with them if I’m in the room too. Does anyone have any tips to help my baby be more comfortable with family or is this just normal?

I have a toddler who’s been on and off sick for 2 weeks and a newborn at home. I have to keep them separated so the newborn doesn’t get sick. I’m going insane. Partner is doing the best but they both need me. I don’t know what to do! Any advice please!
