We have no structure, or routine with naps now and I keep seeing from 3 months old we should have predictability?! The only nap i know she needs is 9am and its more or less the same every day.
ALSO, this baby will not nap by falling asleep independently, tried many many times. She will NOT settle and gets herself wide awake if I place her down when shes sleepy and try to settle in her cot.
I have to hold her and rock her to sleep, i MAY get away with putting her down once in a deep sleep for a 20min nap but thats it. Whereas if I hold her it would be over 1hr!
Im worried i will have to hold her,/rock her for every nap ever going forward?!

It’s the same for me! I usually wear my 3 month old daughter for her daytime naps. I imagine it’ll get easier over time as babies get better at linking their sleep cycles. All I can say is you’re definitely not alone!

Exactly the same here!

Same!

Same here, I try and use a different technique everytime he naps so I don’t start losing my mind. Eg. First nap of the day in the carrier, second feed to sleep in bed etc. I have found that if I follow a rough schedule like on huckleberry (app) he goes down easier, think I was letting him get over tired before without realising. Still only manage 3/4 naps a day though, never hit the magic 5 naps 😅

Babies change and develop soooo fast!
It is totally normal…
As being said, use two ways of getting baby to sleep if possible such as carrying and nursing.
Also why would the baby fall asleep independently already? Social media is tricking you
It is totally normal that naps are not the same time… it highly depends on activities etc

We don’t have a routine, she wakes at 7/8 or 9am, feeds, has half an hour play and goes back down. She generally naps after every feed tbh I’m not sure if that’s normal or not🤣 she’s like a lion lmao.
I have no advice on the holding I’m sorry! All 3 of mine slept independently. Does she have a dummy?
All I can say is it doesn’t last forever! :)
Hello everyone!
My firstborn has always had a slower hair growth but it was slowly getting there and I could do little hairstyles with it which she absolutely loved. But her hair is getting thinner and drier and nothing has changed health or diet wise. This picture is from March 2026 and I’ll post her latest one in the comments.
Do you have any tips? Or is this normal? Is your toddlers hair similar?
My 2nd born is younger by 2 years and she’s got so much more hair and it’s much healthier and longer.

Hi,
my little girl is 8 weeks old now and weighing a lovely 12 7oz 🥰
We have tried a variety of nappies since birth including Aldi Sainsbury’s Asda and Pampers.
We normally use Asda in the day and Pampers at night, she’s in size 2 at the moment and has started sleeping for much longer stretches 6+ hours and I’m finding we are having more leaks when this happens.
She sometimes has red marks on her thighs (she has some chunky thighs!) so I did think about sizing up to size 3 in the pampers and going for the baby dry range but I worry these would be too big around her waist!
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

Babygirl is 5 months 12 days / 23 weeks, 4 days.
She goes to sleep between 6-7pm, wakes up between 6-7am. She has a 7oz bottle in the morning, then sleeps usually anytime between 8:30/9 for about 30-45 minutes. Then she will have another bottle at some point in the morning, 6oz, then a nap early afternoon 1-1:30pm ish. Then another 6oz. Then she naps sort of 4-5pm and then has a 7oz after her bath before bed. She sometimes has another 6oz in the afternoon if she asks for it. She sleeps through the night so her daytime naps are all over the place.

Ive got mixed opinions so far, so I’m interested to know what you new mums do or would do.
When fuelling up your car / nipping into Tesco express just for a pint of milk, baby is sleeping in the carseat. Do you leave baby in the car for the literal 2 minutes your gone and just ensure car is locked, or get the whole pram / car seat system out and take baby with you?
