GD

Hi moms! I have gestational diabetes, but my doctor hasn’t put me on medication. I’m currently managing it with diet alone.

Today I turned 36 weeks pregnant, but since yesterday my glucose readings haven’t been looking very good. My fasting number was 75, but one hour after eating it was 179, and two hours after eating it was 132 and yes i did ate a craving i had but yesterday i did not and the reading was a little the same

I’m feeling a little worried. Do you think I should call my doctor and let them know about these numbers, especially since my next appointment isn’t until next week?

No, I also have been managing mine with diet alone. My MFM doctor informed me that a few fluke readings aren’t anything to be worried about here or there. If it’s a continuous trend then it’s time to think that the placenta is struggling a little more and might consider insulin. So don’t worry!

I have GD, my after meal numbers have been great but no matter what I do I couldn’t get my fasting numbers low enough and had to start insulin at night. If your after meal numbers are high, I’d try eating some veggies before meals and go on a 15 min walk post meals as that usually helps get mine down! A couple high numbers isn’t something concerning but if it continues I’d definitely let your doctor know!

I also have GD. My midwife said that occasional high readings are okay. Ive had like 3 that were over 120. If they’re still high tomorrow while sticking to your normal eating plan, then i would definitely talk to your midwife/OB. When in doubt, walking 15 minutes after eating or doing 45 squats really helps me getting my numbers on track.

Emergency c section PTSD??

I had an emergency c section in January of 2025 with my first baby boy and am now going to have a scheduled c section with my second baby boy in February of 2027 due to my hospital not doing VBACs. I originally wasn’t worried because I knew it was coming this time and I know what to expect. But now that I’m 6 months pregnant I’m scared again. The recovery was rough for me and now worrying about being there for my 2 year old is causing a lot of mom guilt I think. Any moms out there that have any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated 😅.

Urgent advise needed please

I had a connecting flight that I missed at Istanbul sabiha gokcen airport. I got off my domestic flight and had walked and run to the international departures gate, and yet it was closed when I got there. It took soo long because the security lines and passport control lines were so so long! And then my gate was 2 floors down at the very far end. I also had baggage and a stroller, so I had to find the lifts and there would be queues of wheelchair users. After every attempt to get to the gate literally out of breath, it was closed. Maybe missed it by 5 minutes. I found the airline agent desk and they said I need to pay for new tickets which me and several others refused. He then said we would get a refund. I arrived in the UK and made a complaint and asked for my money to be reimbursed as the agent had said. However, customer service are refusing to refund me.
What can I do? Has anyone else been to this airport? How was your experience there? Has anyone else missed a connecting flight? What did you do? I just dont know what to do anymore. The cost of the flights was almost equal to my entire holiday!

First pregnancy & it’s twins!

Hello I just found out today that I’m pregnant with twins! I’m so shocked and overwhelmed. I had an ultrasound around 3 weeks ago that showed only 1 yolk sac baby.
For my peace of mind I went to an ultrasound clinic today and not only did I see & hear babies heartbeat but now there’s 2 babies!!!!!!

I’m confused how my doctor missed the second baby, and I think I need to find a new doctor.

I need advice & tips, I’m very excited but also very scared.

This is my first ever pregnancy & I just so happened to get twins 🥺

I did have a dream a few weeks ago about having twins but I didn’t think my dream would come true 😭
