I've heard sex is meant to be good for inducing labour lol

Walking for as long as you can and as fast as you can

I was 10 days late, sex worked for me 🤭...but then again I was late so maybe he was going to come then anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was 10 days overdue with my first and had gestational diabetes with my second and was only allowed to go over 5 days before induction. I had 5 sweeps and then the night before my induction I tried my electric breast pump and got my first contraction within 5-10 mins on one boob. The lead up to it was sweep in the morning (was 1-2cm and that hadn’t changed throughout all the sweeps I had), cleaning all day, Nando’s and bath to decompress then my partner gave me a massage with clary sage oil before I started pumping. Hope this helps someone avoid an induction like it did for me! X

They're all old wives tales, nothing with any scientific evidence that they work. So give it a go if you fancy it but don't stress trying to tick off all the methods.

Honestly I tried everything I had 4 sweeps and lost my mucus plug every time and had bloody shows, kept so active i worked till 39 and a half weeks ,I was harvesting colostrum religiously from 37 weeks everyday and even ended using my electric pump in the end to try get things going , my back waters broke at 40+5 and ended up having being induced as of how long my waters had been gone had him at 41 weeks exactly via emergency c-section, i honestly believe your body does it when it’s ready obviously if there’s not risks to baby

I got a pedicure for the first time and my mucus plug went that night, something to do with reflexology and 🤣🤔 I think it might be a coincidence but either way it was a nice pamper🤣

Most first time pregnancies go until 41 weeks whether thats 41+1 or 41+6. I dont know why we are all in such a rush at 39 weeks to get baby going. Like they'll.come when they come. Sweeps work at a maximum of 1 in 8 times and are statistically more likely to give you an infection than actually induce labour. Like why are we intervening so much. Those last couple of weeks there are so many important developments for the baby why are we trying to irritate the cervix and uterus etc and insert a foreign body into a sterile area. I really dont get the obsession with the very early approach like 3-4 weeks before baby is due trying to do things to get into labour. Weird. I dunno maybe its just me that thinks this but it seems so strange.

You can go up to 42 weeks without intervention, so try walking, relaxing, or getting a massage to boost your oxytocin. If you end up needing an induction, that’s totally fine too. I had three sweeps but still needed an induction, though I only did propess and everything else happened naturally. Your baby will decide when they’re ready! x

C section tomorrow

I have my c section scheduled for tomorrow. I’m scared and excited at the same time. I don’t know if I’m missing anything to do before the operation.

Emergency c section PTSD??

I had an emergency c section in January of 2025 with my first baby boy and am now going to have a scheduled c section with my second baby boy in February of 2027 due to my hospital not doing VBACs. I originally wasn’t worried because I knew it was coming this time and I know what to expect. But now that I’m 6 months pregnant I’m scared again. The recovery was rough for me and now worrying about being there for my 2 year old is causing a lot of mom guilt I think. Any moms out there that have any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated 😅.

First pregnancy & it’s twins!

Hello I just found out today that I’m pregnant with twins! I’m so shocked and overwhelmed. I had an ultrasound around 3 weeks ago that showed only 1 yolk sac baby.
For my peace of mind I went to an ultrasound clinic today and not only did I see & hear babies heartbeat but now there’s 2 babies!!!!!!

I’m confused how my doctor missed the second baby, and I think I need to find a new doctor.

I need advice & tips, I’m very excited but also very scared.

This is my first ever pregnancy & I just so happened to get twins 🥺

I did have a dream a few weeks ago about having twins but I didn’t think my dream would come true 😭
