4 month doesn't roll

Hello,

So my 4 month old doesn't roll atall.

I try assisting but she just cries it's the same with tummy time too if she's in that position for too long she will just upset.

Is anyone else in the same situation lol. I'm finding it frustrating lol 😂

Same! Absolutely hates tummy time but pretty good at holding his head up while being carried upright etc. In the last day or two he's been trying to "roll" which just looks like him having a bit of a spasm and throwing himself over. 🙈 he's not managed to make it over yet and I know he'll cry when he does. I remember my eldest hated it and I got a bit worried about him not doing it but think the 4 month sleep regression/development leap started the process and he was fine with tummy time by 5-6 months.

Don't stress too much your baby doesn't roll yet. Generally babies start rolling from 4 to 6 months, some do start earlier, but it's not a competition, everyone has their own rhythm.
To help your baby lear to roll, place baby on their back and using a hip slight pressure roll them on the side, then back on their back. Turn again on side using hip roll and give them a gentle hip roll back and forth to get them to land on tummy. Let them sit on their tummy a while and with same hip grab gently push them on the side, let them come on their backs. Repeat on the other side. Give them a short break and a feed if they're getting frustrated or upset. Once they've calmed down, try the same process- repeat during their wake windows. It takes some time for them to learn how to use muscles and gravity in their favour. You got this sweet mamma.

Overwhelming mum guilt

I keep sleeping through my son crying, he is in a next to me. Either I wake up to my feeding alarm or my mum has to come get me up as he won’t stop. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and if so how do I overcome it. I feel so guilty that he is up crying all night and I’m just sleeping.

Mourning my birth

Wanted to have a vaginal birth so bad as it was my first but agreed to an induction that ended up in a c-section and now I regret getting induced, feeling like I should have waited for my labor to come in naturally. The pain from the c-section was wayy too much after the drugs wore off and I don’t want to go through that again but I want one more kid. Any tips on how other moms got over their c-section births or regret for how their births went in general?

Aching

Hey mamas I had an emergency c-section on Tuesday morning. The burning sensation in my left side seems to not be going away. Standing up and laying down is getting easier but I have the fear I might be pushing it and I really wanna be allowed to go home on Friday. What do you guys suggest? My husband still has to occasionally go to work so he’s not with me and baby the whole time while at the hospital.

Sudden incontinence? Tmi

I gave birth 5 months ago and everything was working normal, this past week it’s like i am constantly ovulating or something. I feel wet, it’s not a lot, and it’s not dripping but it’s been consistent this past week.

Has this happened to anyone else and does it stop?

Scar care and massages

Hi everyone, I’m 6 weeks post emergency c-section and as you can imagine, the 6 weeks check up with the GP was rather useless.

I’m looking at ways to best look after my scar to minimise it, the shelf and re gain normal sensation on and around the scar.

I’ve heard of massages, scar tape, silicone gel … What is it that you do for your scar? Also can I now put body lotion on it? The skin around the area is very dry and flaky as I’ve been avoiding it a lot.

In terms of scar tape, I have time at home but I’m worried it’ll be too sticky and hard/painful to remove, also I have hairs lol on the actual scar since I didn’t plan for it and wasn’t shaved there when it happens and around the scar so I’m worried it’ll pull on my hairs each time I have to remove it. It did with the dressing they put on, it wasn’t nice to remove after 5 days …

Anyway, just your scar care routine and tips would be useful please ☺️
