People that have a scheduled C section can I just ask when it is booked in in relation to your due date? My baby is breech, I went in yesterday for an ECV but they were unable to turn her. They have now booked me in for a C section, which I am gutted about but obviously need to do what's safest for baby. I know I will be stressing about it right up until the date and they have only booked it in 3 days before my due date. So now I am also stressing that I might spontaneously go into labour before then and have to rush in for an emergency C section.

I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry. I had an emergency section with my little boy 4 years ago and I've opted for a section this time. I have gestational diabetes and I am now being watched for pre eclampsia. They've booked my section in for 5 days before my due date. I have also been told if I go into natural labour they will take me straight in for a section as that's what I've chosen. Wishing you all the luck in the world! You've got this!

They scheduled me at 39 weeks and I'm also afraid of the same thing my baby is breech but of he turned and it was safe I would be ok to give birth the regular way I don't want to be cut up and down

I am scheduled just one day before my due date, I had an emergency c section with my first. I am also worried about going into spontaneous labour but I've been reassured that the c section will still go forward even if i go into labour beforehand xx

I was scheduled for my first baby at 39+3 days. I didn’t go into labour. Waiting for my date for my second now! Xx

Thanks ladies, I called the ward as well for some reassurance. They said they don't like to do it before 39 weeks due to respiratory risks for baby but they feel confident that even if I go into spontaneous labour, they should have plenty of time to get me in for a C section without it feeling rushed. Wishing everyone a pleasant, stress-free, safe birth xx
I keep sleeping through my son crying, he is in a next to me. Either I wake up to my feeding alarm or my mum has to come get me up as he won’t stop. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and if so how do I overcome it. I feel so guilty that he is up crying all night and I’m just sleeping.

Wanted to have a vaginal birth so bad as it was my first but agreed to an induction that ended up in a c-section and now I regret getting induced, feeling like I should have waited for my labor to come in naturally. The pain from the c-section was wayy too much after the drugs wore off and I don’t want to go through that again but I want one more kid. Any tips on how other moms got over their c-section births or regret for how their births went in general?

Hi everyone, I’m 6 weeks post emergency c-section and as you can imagine, the 6 weeks check up with the GP was rather useless.
I’m looking at ways to best look after my scar to minimise it, the shelf and re gain normal sensation on and around the scar.
I’ve heard of massages, scar tape, silicone gel … What is it that you do for your scar? Also can I now put body lotion on it? The skin around the area is very dry and flaky as I’ve been avoiding it a lot.
In terms of scar tape, I have time at home but I’m worried it’ll be too sticky and hard/painful to remove, also I have hairs lol on the actual scar since I didn’t plan for it and wasn’t shaved there when it happens and around the scar so I’m worried it’ll pull on my hairs each time I have to remove it. It did with the dressing they put on, it wasn’t nice to remove after 5 days …
Anyway, just your scar care routine and tips would be useful please ☺️

Hello,
So my 4 month old doesn't roll atall.
I try assisting but she just cries it's the same with tummy time too if she's in that position for too long she will just upset.
Is anyone else in the same situation lol. I'm finding it frustrating lol 😂

Hey mamas I had an emergency c-section on Tuesday morning. The burning sensation in my left side seems to not be going away. Standing up and laying down is getting easier but I have the fear I might be pushing it and I really wanna be allowed to go home on Friday. What do you guys suggest? My husband still has to occasionally go to work so he’s not with me and baby the whole time while at the hospital.
