My little girl will be 20 months by the time Christmas comes around, I don’t want the house full of useless toys taking up space we don’t have, so what are good things to buy that will actually get used? She’s currently obsessed with taking lids off things 🤣

I’ve got my little girl a balance beam, a basket of dress up like bangles hats and a bag, abacus, an outfit, books and I know my family are buying bits like a tea set a doll and pram and some role play sets as she’s being to pretend play
What is your little girl interested in I can try and suggest some ideas

mines got a thing for eating anything that includes cardboard even paper😅so had to bin all her books etc and start new but going down the wooden toys route this year so a play kitchen trains and all of that kind of stuff! x

We already have a small box but we’ve gotten her some Lego Duplo with a car track, a dinkum doll, play pushchair and a wooden safari car with animals, not going over the top as we are the same we just don’t have the space for endless crap!
Family are getting her the odd toy but either things she can build or animal themed toys as she seems most interested in that at the minute!

Have you got a yoto? My little girl loves hers! X
I’m writing this as an extremely exhausted mummy while feeding my baby to sleep for her nap as I have no other time. I have an almost 4 year old, 2.5 year old and 8 month old so I’ve basically been pregnant back to back. My first was 9 months old when I fell pregnant and 2nd baby was 1 year old when I fell pregnant with my 3rd. My body feels more unfit and knackered this time around (I’m 34). I’m feeling constantly like I’m not doing enough for someone, despite my husband helping me and being hands on as he does drop off and pick ups for nursery I deal with the mental load and keeping things as organised as they can be. I suppose I’m on my own most days but I’m fortunate the kids go to nursery during the week so I only have my 8 month old 24/7. I love motherhood so much but finding that because they’re all so young it’s hard to enjoy it and everytime I’m with my eldest and the 8 month old just the 2 of them I can’t help but fantasise about how much easier a 3 year gap would have been. I would have been able to be more independent as a mum but I feel bad relying on my husband’s help so much when his family make comments that he does too much etc and he should take it easy. Makes me feel so incapable as a mum and I wish I had age gaps now 😢 does this get easier? I would just appreciate any words of encouragement really x
Just to point out the comments from his family aren’t direct to me but I can tell by how they talk to him/ message him etc. for example if we host family at Christmas they will tell him to sit down and take it easy but wow it’s intense with 3 little ones plus I’m still breastfeeding and baby isn’t sleeping well yet so still sleep deprived x

I see so many people saying “don’t worry about getting it all set up! You won’t use it for the first year anyway!” But I’m that person who got it all set up and I’m in love with it.. I know my baby will be in my room for the first 6 months… but realistically will I get to use the nursery at all?

Hey Mummas, we have my husbands Christmas works party in December, it’s about 30 mins from home, but instead of getting lifts/ taxis we’ve decided to book a hotel for the night and arranged for my sister to have little man over night. He will be nearly 6 months! But this will be the first time leaving him over night and we won’t leave until late afternoon and come back mid morning, but I feel really guilty, is this normal? Has anyone done anything similar? Any tips?

My 13m old just wants to walk everywhere! But I live in a village with the main road being right next to our house so was thinking of getting some reigns so he can walk safely with me as he’s starting to hate the pram.
Any recommendations of which ones are best? Are they even recommend anymore as I know they can be controversial? (Not sure why as I see them as being safe?!)
