🗓️ A Day in the Life of a Stay-at-Home Mom –

Hi everyone! I have a question. I’m a first-time mom, and my baby is 5 months old.

I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I spend most of my day at home with my baby. I’m curious about what a typical day looks like for other moms who stay at home with their little ones.

What’s your daily routine like? What kinds of activities do you do with your babies? How often do you breastfeed? Do you follow a set schedule, or do you mostly follow your baby’s cues and needs?

I’m also new to American culture, and I’d love to learn more about how American moms approach raising their children. Do you have a routine for everything, or do you just go with the flow?

I’d really love to hear about your everyday experiences! ❤️

My daughter is 4 months old and I’ve been on maternity leave since she was born, also probably not going back to work. I exclusively pump and bottle feed and express breast milk. Our daily routine revolves largely around when she wakes for feeds. After eating we’ll do some play time and activities that work on eye tracking, sitting control, rolling, hand grasping, etc. Then I’ll also take this time to do various house chores or pump. She’s been eating every 2-3 hrs and I pump every 3-5 hrs.

Anyone actually use their nursery in the first year?

I see so many people saying “don’t worry about getting it all set up! You won’t use it for the first year anyway!” But I’m that person who got it all set up and I’m in love with it.. I know my baby will be in my room for the first 6 months… but realistically will I get to use the nursery at all?

Opinions

Hey Mummas, we have my husbands Christmas works party in December, it’s about 30 mins from home, but instead of getting lifts/ taxis we’ve decided to book a hotel for the night and arranged for my sister to have little man over night. He will be nearly 6 months! But this will be the first time leaving him over night and we won’t leave until late afternoon and come back mid morning, but I feel really guilty, is this normal? Has anyone done anything similar? Any tips?

What are we buying our toddlers for Christmas?

My little girl will be 20 months by the time Christmas comes around, I don’t want the house full of useless toys taking up space we don’t have, so what are good things to buy that will actually get used? She’s currently obsessed with taking lids off things 🤣

Holidays with a newborn

Hi guys! I need some opinions or advice about having a newborn during the holidays. My baby girl will be about a month old by Thanksgiving, and originally, I really didn’t want to take her to anyone’s house. The thing is, if we go to my family’s house, we would also have to go to my husband’s family’s house, and my husband really wants to spend time with his family during the holidays. 😒

For those of you who had a newborn around the holidays, did you take them to family gatherings? If so, how did you handle it? I’m worried about her being passed around and potentially getting sick, especially since she’ll still be so little. Of course, my husband wants his family to be able to hold her, but I’m just not comfortable with having everyone pass her around when her immune system is still developing.

I’m trying to find a balance between letting family spend time with her and keeping her safe. I’d love to hear how you guys handled this! ❤️

No judgement please.

My life and myself has gotten to rock bottom. I’m struggling with the whole autism life and honestly I feel like giving up my son to his dad. I feel like I’m failing him and he has no life with me. I’m honestly scared to take him out because of the meltdowns and he’s loud! I’m not that person that will let people stare I am shy and quiet. We are awaiting autism assessment. I have more stressed days than happy days. I think he’s severe aswell and not looking forward to the future at all! I am depressed and I have spoken to the GP. I have no family just my partner. All he does is cry, winge and be loud and neighbours have commented on how he’s always crying. I feel trapped and have no hope.
My question is will it get a little bit easier?
