So baby is almost here and I’ve done almost everything that I’ve read to get my cat ready for when the baby comes home. But now that we have set up the nursery it’s hard to keep him out of her bed, any suggestions on what I can do to prevent him from jumping in her bed with having to keep him out of my room?

I was concerned with this too when I was pregnant. But when my son came my cat wanted nothing to do with my son's bassinet. I'm assuming the crying baby deterred her enough for her to leave it alone.
I didn't... but you could get a squirt gun or spray bottle and spray your cat anytime it gets in the baby's bed.

I have heard that if you put cardboard down in the crib and put carpet tape on it it will deter the cat and train them to stay out. This is supposed to work because the tape is basically large double sided tape and cats don't like sticky stuff on their feet. I didn't need to do this so I have no idea if it works.

I was worried, I have 3 cats. They flanked me when I got home from the hospital, saw the baby and ran. One attempted to sleep in her bed but once he saw her in there, he never tried again. She's 3 and they avoid her like the plague still. I have an 8 week old too now and didn't even think about it this time. Get kitty a nice cardboard box to sleep in and he'll be fine.
