I am doing the NIPT testing, I get it done on Friday. My doc said it tests the mom for over 200 chromosomal abnormalities, and if anything comes back positive then dad goes in and spits in a tube and then test to see if anything lines up and that’s when there is a chance of worry. But everything is relatively low. Normally insurance only covers 30-50% of the cost of the test if you under the age of 35. But I think it’s totally worth it and you get to find out the gender early!

I was just reading an article on it... I think im going to get it I means its aides in preparation in my opinion

Im getting it done my next appt..where they do the blood testing. I’m excited, they say the results come back in about a week so I’ll get to find out the gender!

My sister has always done it for all of her kids. Im going to be getting it done bc I've had a miscarriage once already so it's going to be covered by insurance for me.

I asked my doctor about it and she said they only do it if they have reason for it because it's so expensive, but I remember getting it with my first and it was covered (I was with a different office at the time). I'm going to call my insurance to see if it's covered because I want it. If I can find out the gender a couple weeks early it's worth it to me.

I’m getting it done next Monday and it’s entirely covered by my insurance. I think it’s good peace of mind that mom is covering all our bases and preparing Incase there is an abnormality with the baby, you can prepare ❤️

Thank you all so much for the info. I'm going to talk to my doctor at my appointment tomorrow and I'm getting in contact with my insurance today
