Anyone else’s bump get bigger throughout the day?

So I wake up in the morning, bump is showing, but not as obvious. Throughout the day I seem to expand and get bigger and bigger! By the time I go to bed I’m huge. Does anyone else experience this?

That happens to me as well. just normal bloat during the day from eating and drinking.

Avatar

Totally normal. Your belly expands when you eat and drink

Avatar

Yup. Always trying to schedule my midwife appointments for the morning so my midwife doesn’t tell me I’m a fatty 😂

Avatar

I'm noticing this too xx

Avatar

same 💜

Today I woke up kinda big but usually as the day goes on I get bigger too. I'm about 14 weeks

Avatar

I was told it's totally normal, if I can remember rightly it's something about your body in the morning has rested overnight and everything is naturally tighter then as the day goes on your body gets more tired and doesn't hold on as well if that makes sense x

Avatar

Yes after drinking or eating

Avatar

Omg yes! I feel like I bloat a crazy amount during the day and im 29 weeks.

Avatar

I always feel like I have a cute little bump in the morning but at night I'm huge and so uncomfortable 😂😂

Avatar

I'm 16 weeks and this is exactly what happens to me x

Avatar

Definitely, not sure if it comes with eating food throughout the day or what but I definitely see and feel the difference throughout the day.

Avatar

Yeah, bug I think most people's stomach looks smaller in the morning. I definitely look a lot more pregnant at night (heck, even before I was pregnant thos was true.)

Avatar

Ha!! This happens to me too! I was so confused about it lol

Avatar

Same here

Avatar

Yes especially after dinner. I'm ready to explode 🤣

OMG me too! And lots of pressure by the evening. Hate it.

Same here x

Avatar

I don’t even look pregnant in the mornings but at night I feel massive lol

Avatar

Yeah totally after dinner last night I couldn't move!

Avatar

Yea I'm the same...wake up barely looking pregnant and then pops out at night. I have to eat all my meals much earlier as I always feel full after 5pm. Xx

Avatar

Omg yes. I thought it was just me!

Avatar

Me too! I read that it was because our stomach muscles get tired as the days goes on and just relax, where as in the morning they are tighter and stronger to hold up the bump! Plus all the food 😂

Avatar

Yep, I always did too.

Avatar

If anyone is curious, I googled it today and the reason our bumps look bigger at night is apparently because your abdominal muscles get tired of holding up the baby so they relax as the day goes on! So it's not that it's bigger, it's just that our muscles aren't as tight at night as they are in the morning 😂😂

Avatar

Yea it depends on the position of the baby

Avatar

Thought it was just me lol

Avatar

I think that happened to me around a week ago, currently 25+2. I felt something similar which I thought was strange, but I'm a first time mom. I try to just go with the flow in a way like baby needs to move around maybe and thats why the belly might stretch throughout the day. Plus, eating baby might have been making room to eat and breath. Idk the cause, but I think its normal. Did you talk with your doctor about it?!

Avatar

Defo!!!!

Avatar

Yes! I thought I was the only one lol, I don’t remember this with my daughter but I am definitely always bigger by the end of the day😂

Avatar

Mine does. I’m not super far along but in the morning I just look fat and then throughout the day and when I eat it gets fuller.

Avatar

Yes mine was getting bigger every day

Avatar

Same!

Avatar

Yes every day !!

Avatar

Yes. As she moves around.

Avatar

Yes!!! Not just feel bigger but I weigh 3-4 pounds more by bedtime than when I woke up. I feel very uncomfortable. I’ve tried doing smaller meals but I can’t stop eating once I start 😔

Avatar

Yes and 11 weeks

Avatar

Yep lol

Avatar

Yes

Avatar

Yeah!!! A super lot lol

I think because when ur up n walking around the water n baby pull more forward. And when ur laying down it pushes inward.
🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Avatar

Yes!!

Avatar

Yes! And it makes sense because our bellys expand when we eat and we dont have as much space for food anymore!

Avatar

100% 😂

Avatar

Your muscles also get tired throughout the day and it’s not as easy to hold the bump in. It seems very normal.

Avatar

No idea cuz im asleep🙃jk. That was not helpful. I didnt notice... all i noticed was "im fat" lol

Avatar

YES! My bump seems at least twice as big at night it’s crazy!

Avatar

YES!! it triples in size I swear!

Avatar

Early days and I experience this all the time!

A full 8 hours

My 1 month and five week old newborn just slept 8 hours. I genuinely don’t know who blessed me, but good lord am I thankful. We really only woke up a few times to put her binky back in her mouth. She did just got home from the NICU and adjustment was pretty hard for the past few nights, so she certainly deserves a lot of sleep. Just happy to see her feeling more comfortable.

Is it cheating

My husband just told me that at work he and his male friends/coworkers pinch each others nipples as like a joke, I think it’s inappropriate and it’s cheating in a way and he does not agree he thinks it’s just funny and nothings wrong with it

Baby hates me?

Why does my baby hate me. All she wants from me is to be fed and then screams and screams at me, she settles with everyone else and i don't understand what im doing wrong. I feel like the worst mum ever and am really struggling.

Is nursery a bit out of line?

Today I learned that my son was “seen by someone” when picking him up. Apparently speech therapist saw him in the nursery to evaluate him and I only learned about it on pick up.

No warning, no even proper explanation of what triggered it. With one staff member saying “he is not speaking at all”, and another dismissing it and saying it’s completely normal.

And everyone seem to dismiss my shock as he is the most chatty happiest child at home.

So it triggers me that instead of finding a way to get him “open up” and make him feel secure so he starts speaking naturally. They now decided he needs to be “fixed” and probably push him into more anxiety with it. Without even consulting us.

My baby always wants to front sleep now and I’m fighting every night to get the sleep to start on his back or side
