Pregnancy Pillows: yay or nay?

I’m getting close to my second trimester. Just wondering if y’all invested in pregnancy pillows and if they were helpful? They look uncomfortable to me...

Yes very helpful. They have different shapes . I found the u shape to be a life saver when trying to sleep

Yay!! I had a massive U shaped one. Even woke up a few times to my Boyfriend hugging it.

I have a u shaped one, tried it once and nearly suffocated as ended up with it on top of my face 😂😂 I now have it as back support for on the sofa in the evenings

Yes I started using Mine in the first trimester

I used it with my first but my other pregnancies I used just pillows to prop myself 🤷‍♀️

i have a PharmeDoc and love it

Yes I am 19 weeks and I've bought the u shaped pillow. I had to buy mine weeks ago, I was very uncomfortable. I love my pillow.. it's so great for sitting up in bed too. Completely supportive. I will say though lately I have been finding myself wishing i would have gotten the 'H' shaped pillow as i miss sleeping my head on my regular pillow. Whatever you decide, all in all its worth it.

I recommend the lil wedge. I chose it because I love to sleep snuggled up with my baby daddy and it’s been great. I don’t think I would be comfy with any of the big pillows. I can put the wedge under my belly when I’m laying on my side or behind me to keep myself fro laying flat on my back and if I roll over it’s super easy to readjust. Was cheaper and ill probably be able to use it to help me prop up the baby for breastfeeding after birth and it’s even comfy as a neck pillow or back support if I’m sitting up in bed.

Yay! I used mine every night from 3 months pregnant till 3 months postpartum. 100% worth it!

YES!!!! I don’t know what I would have done once I got big if I hadn’t had one 😭

Mine annoyed me hahah! I used two body pillows, 3 pillows for my head, and a wedge pillow lol

Its a little bulky but I do get plenty of use out of mine. I got a U shape one from Amazon, my only complaint is the pillow cover is kind of fuzzy/velvety and gets hot, I think a regular cotton cover would be better.

Yes! Our LG is 3 & i still use mine 😂 best £25 i ever spent

I was similarly skeptical but I loved mine. I still use it now and my baby is 1 this month!

Avatar

Yesssss I absolutely love mine! I’m 27 weeks and probably had it for about 4 weeks, it’s heaven xx

Avatar

I never used mine and now it takes up valuable space in the cupboard

Avatar

I loved mine ! It was the only way I could sleep at night

Avatar

Yes! It’s a life saver

Yayyyy! Definitely worth it especially on the couch.

Heart murmur

Took my 4 month old to the GP yesterday for something unrelated and when checking him over they heard a heart murmur. That didn’t say too much and scheduled another GP appointment for next week. Just wondering if any other mummas babies have had one and what their journeys were/if baby just grew out of it. Thank you x

UK Mums: If you had an assigned midwife for your first pregnancy, but not your 2nd. Were you a bit disappointed?

For my first pregnancy I was blessed with having an assigned midwife that I saw every appointment. She was absolutely amazing, so I guess I was spoiled in that sense. This pregnancy, I see a different midwife every appointment and I am a bit disappointed. Before anyone jumps on my back I know it is not guaranteed to have an assigned midwife. It is just hard when each midwife answered my question differently at each appointment and it took the epilepsy clinic (was referred due to having seizures in the last) to give me the actual answer. I also keep getting told that if I have any general questions to contact MAU, but I always thought they were there for urgent matters? Anyways sorry for rambling, I am just a person that feels at ease with consistency 😭

Burnout

I have the odd day (like today) where I feel completely wiped out, without energy, physical especially, even if I had we good night sleep. I try entertaining baby as much as I normally do but it's a lot! Don't know if it's burnout or what.. will mention to gp in case I have some deficiency but again it's not everyday. Baby is only 4 months, am I too old?? And we'd like another at some point 🙈 don't know how mums of multiples do it

First time leaving the house with newborn

Has anybody managed to step outside since the baby arrived? We were considering starting super local, 10 min by car to somewhere where we can go on a pram walk or cafe. But we were wondering if this is safe, given the baby has no vaccines yet. What’s everyone doing?
