European influence welcome We don't want it to sound too American

Me and my husband are struggling to find a name for our baby due in 10 weeks. We won’t know the gender until the baby is born. We have a 2 year old called Eli, so would be looking for a short name so the names sounds nice together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🩷🩵 thank you x

Husband and I have fallen in love with “Brochan” for a boy, pronounced “BRAWCH-ehn” (“broch” rhyming with “loch”). It’s Scottish Gaelic for “porridge”, but we figured lots of more popular Gaelic names also have mundane meanings - e.g. “Brodie” means “muddy ditch”.

Fergus nn Gus Most likely James as middle, so Fergus James nn Gus. Is it terrible? Does it sound too close to fungus? Too out there for a first name?
