Medicine

My stubborn child has a cold and a nasty cough. She refuses to take medicine, constantly spitting it out. I just got scratched, bit, pinched you name it all from trying to give her medicine with a syringe because she runs from the cup and I can control somewhat how much I dispense with the syringe. I need advice on other ways to get rid of this cold or ways to give this medicine to her. What do you other mamas do when your little one is sick?

Pre school?

Hey mommas! 💕 My son just turned 3 in July, and I’m really debating enrolling him in preschool. He’s never been in daycare or away from me for an extended period, so I’m definitely a nervous momma. 😭

I’d love to hear other moms’ experiences with starting preschool around age 3! What was the transition like for your little one? Did they have a hard time with drop-off? How long did it take them to adjust? And what should I expect as a first-time preschool mom?

I’m excited about the socialization and everything he’ll get to learn, but I’m also having ALL the mom anxiety about leaving my baby. 🥹😂

Would love to hear the good, the bad, and anything you wish you knew before starting preschool! ❤️

Baby milestones

three years old now

my son turned 3 at the end of july. it’s like a switch happened that night and all of a sudden he’s going crazy. the kid is just non stop. the whining and crying also really heightened. he doesn’t want to listen to anything i say. runs away when im trying to get him to do something. am i doing things wrong? is this my fault or just his age? any other’s going thru this?

Can someone please help.

Does anyone know the difference between public housing and section 8? I’m thinking of applying but not sure which one is a better option. I’m living temporarily with my mom and my son requires his own space especially when he needs to self regulate. (He’s on the autism spectrum so he needs a lot of to self soothe himself)

Would you send your kid to preschool after this?

My 3 year old is in preschool for the first time (first daycare situation he’s been in so far because I’m a SAHM). A kid in his class has hand foot and mouth and was in class yesterday when my son was there as well. My son is home today because it’s not his normal day to go in but he’s supposed to go back tomorrow. Do I keep him home and try to minimize exposure to other kids who might get HFM from this case? Or is it probably too late and he was already exposed anyway so we might as well send him if he’s not sick himself? I’m new to all of this and ultimately I want him healthy but I also don’t want to keep him home every time a classmate is sick. If I keep him home tomorrow, he wouldn’t go back until next Wednesday so it would give some time for other cases to pop up.
