Discharge early pregnancy

Ladies.. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and I have this brown discharge. There’s quite a lot of it and it’s been happening since Monday. I had a few cramps here and there but nothing major.. it hasn’t turned red yet but I’m reading online ( doctor google 🙄 ) that it could possibly be a Missed Miscarriage. Anyone experience this?

Hi lovely, I would call your midwife or hospital and they will likely tell you to come in and get checked out. Safer to check and they can help put your mind at ease. Worrying will only do more harm x

Definitely go get checked just to be safe, hope everything goes well for you.

Ladies I’m going to go and get it checked in my local hospital today 🥰 I have a private scan booked for next Saturday but I can’t wait that long, thanks girls x

I have during my miscarriages

I was in a&e for 4 hours, they weren’t really any help to me I had to ask 3 times when a doctor would come and see me 😥 He explained it could just be old blood but there’s nothing really they can do until I get an early pregnancy scan which I already had booked for next Saturday before I went up to the a&e. Girls I don’t have any more knowledge about the brown discharge they didn’t really tell me anything about it. Never said anything about having a MC either?😭 I still feel lost but I’m just holding onto the fact it might be old blood! Thanks for being concerned girls x

I’m wishing you the very very best of luck but this is how my missed miscarriage appeared at 12 weeks. I had a scan booked for 4 days later and went to a&e where they checked for signs of infection etc. and said everything seemed to be fine but they couldn’t be sure without a scan. At the scan it appeared baby died 5 weeks earlier.
I’m not telling you this to alarm you but so that you can be prepared for your scan just in case. There is also a chance it could just be bruising / old bleeding from implantation of the pregnancy.

It's could be an implantation bleed so the doctors could mean it's old blood from that as some women get this when the sperm penetrates the egg. I do hope your ok but if the doctors who are the professionals in all this weren't too concerned don't panic yourself too much you'll just course yourself and lil growing baba more stress xx good luck and keep us updated on how you go

I had two bright red SUPER heavy bleeds between 8 and 9 weeks. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I had never experienced anything like that before. Feared the worst and went through a ton of emotions. (Easier said than done) but try not to let it bother you, call a few different places and try and book an earlier scan elsewhere to put your mind at ease. My bleed turned out to be a hematoma (old implantation blood) for some women this goes on for weeks. Mines stopped completely and I made it to my 12 week scan. Fingers are crossed for you! I'm sure all will be okay! 🤞💖

Hospital Bag?

Hey everyone! When is the right time to pack your hospital bag and what on earth do I need? I see so many different websites and advice on social media that it all gets very overwhelming. Thank you so much for any help.

Heart murmur

Took my 4 month old to the GP yesterday for something unrelated and when checking him over they heard a heart murmur. That didn’t say too much and scheduled another GP appointment for next week. Just wondering if any other mummas babies have had one and what their journeys were/if baby just grew out of it. Thank you x

UK Mums: If you had an assigned midwife for your first pregnancy, but not your 2nd. Were you a bit disappointed?

For my first pregnancy I was blessed with having an assigned midwife that I saw every appointment. She was absolutely amazing, so I guess I was spoiled in that sense. This pregnancy, I see a different midwife every appointment and I am a bit disappointed. Before anyone jumps on my back I know it is not guaranteed to have an assigned midwife. It is just hard when each midwife answered my question differently at each appointment and it took the epilepsy clinic (was referred due to having seizures in the last) to give me the actual answer. I also keep getting told that if I have any general questions to contact MAU, but I always thought they were there for urgent matters? Anyways sorry for rambling, I am just a person that feels at ease with consistency 😭

Burnout

I have the odd day (like today) where I feel completely wiped out, without energy, physical especially, even if I had we good night sleep. I try entertaining baby as much as I normally do but it's a lot! Don't know if it's burnout or what.. will mention to gp in case I have some deficiency but again it's not everyday. Baby is only 4 months, am I too old?? And we'd like another at some point 🙈 don't know how mums of multiples do it

Things you wish you’d do before C-Section

I’m having my section on Sunday, and trying to write a bunch of ‘self-care’ type things I want to do before hand.
Now I’m not talking the practical things like setting up changing or feeding stations etc. I’m talking things for you like shaving your legs or dying your eyebrows 😂
I know from my last section that I’m not gunna feel my best so I want to do everything I can to feel good! I’ve got a fresh haircut already!
So what are some things you did / wish you did before your c section?

First time leaving the house with newborn

Has anybody managed to step outside since the baby arrived? We were considering starting super local, 10 min by car to somewhere where we can go on a pram walk or cafe. But we were wondering if this is safe, given the baby has no vaccines yet. What’s everyone doing?
