Protein shakes! šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

Hey all! Now don’t get me wrong I haven’t done exercise in over month thanks to morning sickness… but I’m sooo hoping I can get back in the gym during my second trimester. I was just wondering if it’s still ok to have protein shakes? Is there anything I need to look out for in the ingredients, or can I just carry on as normal?

I’ve been having protein shakes the whole way through - I’m 23 weeks.
I couldn’t find anything to say I shouldn’t have them but I do only have 1 a day

Protein shakes are fine! Great way to help with fatigue by boosting your protein intake šŸ‘

Protein shakes are fine for pregnancy. Just double check the ingredients as some contain other things, creatine, vitamin A and caffeine which aren't recommended for pregnancy ā˜ŗļø

I had mine during all pregnancy, but make sure they are safe for pregnancy, mine have lots of nutrients, including lots of fruit and vegetables and are considered a complete meal, a lot are just about the protein so will lack a lot of nutrients, lots of other pregnant ladies take this and even helps with cases of iron deficiency. What do you use? Xx

I remember a prenatal dietitian saying whey is okay as long as there is no additives and just whey as ingredient

Do you ever feel like ā€˜damaged goods’ since becoming a Mum?

So basically my partner and I are not on great terms, and haven’t been for a while now. I keep thinking this might be it for us and we’d be better off separating, but one thing always comes to mind when I think about ever meeting someone new. I know in the grander scheme of things that meeting someone else isn’t exactly top priority but I hate to think of a life where I’m single forever, so of course it crossed my mind a lot.
The thing which worries me is that ever since having a child and becoming a Mum I feel like I’m damaged goods, in the eyes of anyone else that is. I feel like no one would ever be interested in me again.

Does anyone else have this feeling, or felt this way in the past?

I’m in a straight relationship but I miss sex with women

I have been in and out of straight and lesbian relationships for years. Although I love my partner and can see a future with him I just don’t really get in the mood for him in that way and miss how women would make me feel during intercourse

Phone passcode

This isn’t really to do with pregnancy/birth.. but my husband has changed his phone passcode (I probably shouldn’t have tried snooping). But after our first, our relationship went through the wringer and tbh neither of us were perfect, I’ll hold my hands up to that. But he was sexting another girl for a while. We’ve worked so hard on our relationship since then and now married.. so I don’t know if I’m just being paranoid because of that and near my due date, but I’ll be honest intimacy is low atm so worried he’s finding it somewhere else even if it’s on the phone.. do I come clean and ask why his passcode has changed even though it shows I tried to look or leave it?

Curious…

Hello! Can i ask you mamas what your husband/partner does for a living that allows you to comfortably be a SAHM? We’d like to eventually transition to that as our family grows, but also want the freedom to build the life we want. Also open to hearing if any of you work remote or side gigs to help contribute financially? Much appreciated! 🩵🩵🩵

For those that are paying attention to what’s going on in the US and the state of the WORLD…(Not enough people are)—How are you all coping?

How are you managing a full time job that is funding genocides—-Seeing our rights being slowly taken away. They already came for our reproductive rights. They’re trying to disenfranchise millions of female voters by passing the Save Act. Mainstream media and social media censoring. Mass civilian surveillance. Poisoned water, food. A health care system that puts a band aid on illness to keep the business going—and coming back home to your kids and pretending like anything about this shit is normal. Oh and our world leaders run the largest human trafficking ring. AND the US is trying to cover it up and refuses to hold anyone accountable. And these are the people in charge. Such commendable beings. I’m pretty anxious. So besides self care. How are you coping? Maybe you can comment on what you do for self care.
