Fear of ectopic pregnancy

Hey- has anyone on here had an ectopic pregnancy before? If so, what are the symptoms? I have a dull pain on the left side near my pelvis, but I’m not sure if I’ve just pulled a muscle from coughing or if I should be worried? Apologies, first pregnancy and im panicking at every twinge!

I have had two ectopics before and as scary as they are the symptoms will feel like regular pregnancy symptoms only you will bleed extremely heavily. Believe me the worry never leaves I’m pregnant again and I’m so so scared about having another ectopic but I’m trusting my body and god to make the right decision for me and my baby. Just try and relax it will all work out

Are you bleeding? If so head up to a&e or ring your early pregnancy unit. Do you have a pain in your shoulder? I was told that is also a symptom. They thought i had an ectopic but turns out just a PUL.
I know your uterus does expand early on too so could be that.
Good luck to you though

I'm panicking about ectopic too!! When do you usually have symptoms before your first scan? X

No bleeding thank goodness or sore shoulders/ anything else! I just can’t help but worry and waiting for the scan is like agony!! I want to be exited but I also don’t want to get my hopes up!

Yeah I can understand your worries and stuff I have a PUL happening right now and it’s so frustrating have a scan next Wednesday but I’m way too nervous

Hey I had an ectopic with no bleeding or shoulder tip pain just a cramping feeling on one side. Didn’t realise anything was wrong until the pain increased following the tube rupturing. If the pain carries on and doesn’t subside when you change positions maybe get it checked out just to be sure! I’m sure you’re fine and it’s just normal early pregnancy feelings but you never know. Xx

Hey! No experience with this but I kind of have a similar pain, I asked my dr who reassured me it’s normal for those full pains and said in a lot of cases it can be trapped wind as your uterus is expanding, so puts pressure on your other organs which can cause wind. I’m sure it’s totally fine but if you want reassurance always called the EPU 😊

I had seriously sore pain on one side only with my last miscarriage and they wanted to do surgery for ectopic and take my tube away, luckily when they eventually scanned me 4 days later it was a natural miscarriage and unexplained pain on the one side.
I have paint again on one side so fingers crossed it’s nothing. Usually if your ectopic then your very Ill!
You will also have sore shoulder that’s a common symptom of ectopic pregnancy.
Sore shoulders, pain on one side, bleeding etc. if you think
It’s ectopic then call your dr and they’ll Refere you to gynaecologist

I had the same worries and ended up booking myself for a private early pregnancy scan just to make sure everything was okay. I’m so glad that I did, it’s so worth it to get the reassurance and it only cost £45. Hope everything is okay for you, it’s completely natural to worry x

Hospital Bag?

Hey everyone! When is the right time to pack your hospital bag and what on earth do I need? I see so many different websites and advice on social media that it all gets very overwhelming. Thank you so much for any help.

Heart murmur

Took my 4 month old to the GP yesterday for something unrelated and when checking him over they heard a heart murmur. That didn’t say too much and scheduled another GP appointment for next week. Just wondering if any other mummas babies have had one and what their journeys were/if baby just grew out of it. Thank you x

UK Mums: If you had an assigned midwife for your first pregnancy, but not your 2nd. Were you a bit disappointed?

For my first pregnancy I was blessed with having an assigned midwife that I saw every appointment. She was absolutely amazing, so I guess I was spoiled in that sense. This pregnancy, I see a different midwife every appointment and I am a bit disappointed. Before anyone jumps on my back I know it is not guaranteed to have an assigned midwife. It is just hard when each midwife answered my question differently at each appointment and it took the epilepsy clinic (was referred due to having seizures in the last) to give me the actual answer. I also keep getting told that if I have any general questions to contact MAU, but I always thought they were there for urgent matters? Anyways sorry for rambling, I am just a person that feels at ease with consistency 😭

Things you wish you’d do before C-Section

I’m having my section on Sunday, and trying to write a bunch of ‘self-care’ type things I want to do before hand.
Now I’m not talking the practical things like setting up changing or feeding stations etc. I’m talking things for you like shaving your legs or dying your eyebrows 😂
I know from my last section that I’m not gunna feel my best so I want to do everything I can to feel good! I’ve got a fresh haircut already!
So what are some things you did / wish you did before your c section?

Burnout

I have the odd day (like today) where I feel completely wiped out, without energy, physical especially, even if I had we good night sleep. I try entertaining baby as much as I normally do but it's a lot! Don't know if it's burnout or what.. will mention to gp in case I have some deficiency but again it's not everyday. Baby is only 4 months, am I too old?? And we'd like another at some point 🙈 don't know how mums of multiples do it
