C-section Shelf

Hi mamas! I'm currently 4 months postpartum and have been doing scar massage/ stretching for roughly 10 weeks and I'm not seeing any changes 😭 does anyone have any tips advice? The red line is where my incision is and the bracket is the shelf that won't go away 😂

I sell a herbal belly oil that is great for this if you would like to try it.

I use bio oil I’ve heard great things about it 🤞🏽

Hey hun , you can try using aloe Vera gel or even straight off the aloe Vera plant and put on your stomach twice a day and it helps , you need to keep the area cool , hope that helps 😊

I used Palmer's cocoa butter for pregnancy during and after my pregnancy and it works

I had mine 2 years ago and still have a bit of one. I’ve started working out recently and I’m hoping that will help 😅

Its been 8 years since my first and no diet, exercise or prayer has gotten rid of mine.

Have you tried a belly band? You look thinner than me - I've now got less off a shelf and more of an gut - so i can't see a band working for me but it might suit you!

To my understanding the only options is time or go to a professional and they lasor it. Bio oil has never helped me. My old marks went silvery and you can barely see them but it took a long time

Try Vaseline, I used it on my belly throughout my pregnancy and prevented my from getting stretch marks. Hope this helps:)

If you wait until after healing you can micro needle that area and it will tighten it all up. I did coolscuplting on my lower abdomen years later and it helped a TON!

Stomach Vaccums girl!!!

RetinA is the best thing you could use. Instant results, but long-term results take a while. It's still the most effective treatment. I would use bio oil once a day as well.

I used olive oil during and after pregnancy.,I used bio oil to begin with but that was like sand paper awful dried my skin out .
Unfortunately nothing you do will ever get rid of it,My ugly scar( longer than shld be coz not only was he c section I had a complecation surgery 2 days after)
Nothing goes back as it was🤣😭😭😭😭
Including your breats I miss my old ones perky not these things that fall to my knees.

I feel like a lot of people haven’t read this post properly. No amount of lotion is going to get rid of your shelf unfortunately.

I believe diet and exercise are the only ways to try for yourself otherwise it’s surgery like liposuction or a tummy tuck.

However I think it’s really important to bear in mind your body took 9 months to grow a human it’s unlikely to snap back in 4 months.

Try high intensity exercise which helps burn fat but remember results take time and go easy on yourself ♥️

Microneedling! I found this out years later and it works wonders!!!! Wish I did it sooner!

It took me about 7 months to see any improvement in my stomach area. Like people are saying, it takes a while to grow and it’ll take a while to go back. I am finally feeling like I look less postpartum even with diet and exercise. I’ve heard it can be hard to lose weight with breastfeeding and this is what I’m experiencing

My daughter is one, and ive been dieting since a Christmas. Only just got a curve rather than shelf! Kinda accept that’s the way it’s always going to be x

Has anyone tried cupping before? That's one thing my doctor had mentioned but I'm not finding alot of results when I look it up.

Can’t decide between vbac or section

I am so unbelievably torn between how I want to give birth. I just cant decide, I’m only 26 weeks so I know I’ve got time but I feel like I don’t🙈I’ve written pros and cons for both and it hasn’t helped attal! My first birth was via elective c section through maternal choice and it went well and I healed well. Can anyone shed any light and help me out 😩

I’m crazy.

My husband left his phone in the living room last night so when I got up this morning to make our coffee I was trying to be a lil nosey… I know it’s a huge possibility it’s just a spam thing but like I did not want to see another bitches name on my man’s phone this morning.. 😅

Did you follow all of the guidelines after having a baby?

If no what did you not follow?

I also get its survivor bias so I’m not saying I was right to do these things.

1. My babies all slept with blanket/comforter from early on. They also all were sleeping through from an early age.

2. I had a bath a couple of days after my c section.

I’m sure there were more but these two are the ones that stand out 🫣

Further scans/labour induction

Hi All, I am 37 weeks and 4days pregnant. I have no signs of labour yet. The last scan was at 34weeks and the midwife suggested that no further scans are required.

My question is - Do I have to reach out to the hospital closer to the date or will they get in touch with me ?

Thanks in advance.

Health

Going incognito mostly because I am actually embarrassed 😂
I need to start being more active, I used to be so on the go but now I have zero motivation and no energy.
I have type 2 diabetes and I am trying to reverse it before it gets worse, my diet and exercise is horrendous as I just go for quick and easy, I do need to start really prepping food, I have tried calorie counting but end up getting stressed and just giving up and exercise wise I need someone to give me a push and hold me accountable in doing it but my partner is not the best with helping with things like this as he eats like a child and is physically active in work so when he gets home he doesn’t want to work out.
I need help, I was recently told my cholesterol and stuff are high and my diabetes has gone worse since having the baby and having a lot of meds stopped.
