Coffee meet-up?

Anyone up for coffee meet ups? Now that I feel its a bit too cold to take my baby out in the park. It would be nice to for coffee and then maybe a walk round the shops?

I can only do Mondays at present, maybe a Sunday sometimes

Am I in the wrong or my husband?

I want to start by saying that last year my baby was only about 4 months old, and we didn’t even go to my parents’ house for Easter. We went to his family’s celebration and then went straight home.

This year, it’s turned into a big argument. He wants to go to his family’s church—which I’ve never been to, and he hasn’t even gone to in the four years we’ve been together. I want to go to church with my sister and her husband, grab lunch with them afterward, go home so our toddler can take her nap, and then go to his family’s Easter, followed by my family’s.

He’s completely against that plan. He wants to either skip our toddler’s nap so we can be “on time” for his family’s Easter, or make me choose between going to church with my sister or going out to eat after—I can’t do both.

His family’s Easter is from 11–1, which is exactly during our toddler’s nap time. They’ve even been understanding and offered to do another egg hunt after her nap or whenever we arrive. But he’s still not willing to compromise.

Instead, he wants to go to his family’s church, skip going out to eat, put our toddler down an hour later than usual—or skip her nap entirely—and then go to his family’s Easter.

I feel like I’m the one trying to compromise so we can spend time with both sides of the family this year, especially mine.

Am I wrong here, or is he being unreasonable?

Will it get better? Nursery worries

Hi!
My LO started nursery last week and went in for two days, after a couple of settling in sessions. The first day was more or less okay, but on the second day he had a cold and really struggled to settle. He hasn’t been back since as we’re on Easter break, and he’ll return on Tuesday.

I’m feeling quite anxious about whether he’ll adapt to nursery. I go back to work next week and I’m worried about getting calls saying he’s not okay.

If anyone has been through something similar and it got better, I’d really love to hear your experience or any words of encouragement 🤍

Married but alone

My husband has dumped every single thing on me over the last couple of years. Two children, two dogs, the house, groceries, cooking, cleaning... he works from early morning to late night and earns a big fat package while I am a stay at home mama. He stays home only on Sundays and refuses to help with anything saying it's his only day off and he needs rest.
I'm on anxiety and depression medicines for 4 years now and my limits are stretching thin. The mental fatigue is so much I want to run away sometimes. We have zero connection, zero communication, he is not involved even with his own kids. It's just work, watching his sitcoms, partying with his people and sleeping. When I speak up, he says he is already doing enough by earning money and he can't do more. I can leave if that irks me so much.
I don't know what to do!!

Baby won’t eat!

Hi all, my baby has been a great eater, I started on homemade purées, then moved to thicker textures. He was eating everything I put in front of him. This week he’s refusing all food really, even his favs. We have a tooth breaking through, could that be why? Thank you.
