Same here and today’s been the worst for pain so far and I don’t understand it. Hoping it heals soon because it’s been awful.

My doctor prescribed me pain meds. I don’t take pain meds regularly, so I took half the recommended amour. It worked wonders for my physical pain and mental health during that time!

I took advil every 6 hours for about 3-4 days. I also used the peri bottle every time that helped so much. Freda also makes a healing foam that helped the burning for me

Same here! I made pad-cicles. It’s a tablespoon of unscented/undyed aloe vera gel, and witch hazel sprayed on the aloe, then you just layer it on a new pad and freeze it

I gave birth on the 9th and have a second degree tear, i was in agony from it turns out it was actually infected maybe worth getting your midwife to check it to make sure, my tear is still painful but nowhere as bad as it was x

I had a second degree tear also and used all the mom Frida products and tucks pads. I also used aloe Vera gel on my pad and it helped so much. I had my baby the 19 and think it’s already fully healed. The aloe helped a ton as well as the ice pads!

Ibuprofen and Mama Earth Perineal Spray are my go-tos! I like this spray better than dermoplast, personally. On day 11 with a second degree tear and it is better by the day, but I am still so over the pain and discomfort. Looking forward to further healing! Oh I haven’t done it yet, but I keep meaning to do an Epsom salt soak in the bath tub which may be helpful?

I also just had a little girl on the 25th weighed 10 pounds 6 ounces I have a second degree tear and they had to cut me I do lots of sit baths and use dermoplast

Lidocaine spray!
Use dermaplast first, let it dry, and then lidocaine spray!

Also DIAPERS!! DIAPERS!!!!DIAPERS!!!! They are way more comfy then pads

Seconding using the peri bottle while going! Also spraying dermoplast before and after. I also had a second degree tear and my OB advised against using padsicles for more than a few days since the cold can restrict blood flow and impede healing. I did warm water sitz baths a few times per day and that helped

Advil/Tylenol, tucks pads, peri spray bottle and sits bath. It sucks, but it will stop after a few weeks! In the moment it feel never ending discomfort.

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?
