Northampton antenatal classes

Hi, I wondered if anyone could advise me on how/ where to book antenatal classes in Northampton. Ideally I’d like to book onto the NHS provided ones but can’t seem to find the right information on Google. Thanks in advance!

My midwife suggested a antenatal class at the hospital it’s a 3 hour session at the weekend, it’s for after 28 weeks of pregnancy x

I attended yesterday and quite enjoyed it. Got to see the birth centre which was nice…..if I/anyone gets to use it!

the north centre is lovely however don’t get hopes up bc if you high risk you don’t get to use it sadly xx

Aside from NHS there is bump birth and beyond Northampton. Midwife led.

is it something which partners can go to too? x

yep, there were 5 ladies, all attended with partners 😊

fingers crossed, I’m still low risk at the moment and my midwife should be applying for birth centre for me tomorrow at appt. Bigger issue is the NHS not having the staff to run the birth centre so it’s closed a lot of the time

true, when I went to the antenatal class they mentioned that the barest centre is still open despite short staff issues don’t take my word for it though x

Most people won't get this but I struggle because I've only ever dated men before but married a woman.

I love her but I don't know anyone in my position. All the bisexual female friends are with men. I sometime just miss the ease of not being judged, not having to explain who we are etc etc. I do miss the ease of sex with men and being come on to. I miss being a bit more "looked after" financially and emotionally. Neither of us want to be the breadwinner so we're always trying to be equal but maybe no one wins 🤔

I’m going to resign before my maternity starts- do I get any help/benefits?

No I can’t call in sick it will be a straight resign as I can’t deal with another second of that company.
Any info on what I can be entitled to?
Also I will be getting a job around 9 months in after baby

Intimacy

So ladies, i can count on 1 hand how many times me and my partner have had sex since being pregnant 😂 I'm 29 weeks I judt feel like he isn't into me anymore. I do sexual things for him but he just said he feels weird getting intimate with me.

I am a little worried as I don't want a sexless relationship. 😕

Is anyone else in the same boat

Sun beds when pregnant

What's everyone's opinion I stopped sun beds when I found out I was pregnant I'm now 17 weeks but I have psoriasis and sun beds helped so much with my condition. I keep getting mixed opinions about using a sun bed I'm think off going back 1 / 2 times a week for 6 minuets to help with this but people keep putting me off. Has anyone had the same experiences or any advice 🫶🏼
