Mother’s Day is next Sunday

😂🙈😂 Thank you, I'll take my husband out of the dog box! I usually have Mother's day as the Sunday just before or just after my sister's birthday (which is tomorrow). We won't be with my in-laws then, so MIL gets it early 😂

my MIL said the same. Really hoping she does though, she is the type that would put them away and eventually have to through away when they become inedible 🙈

thank you. It's my 1st attempt at flowers. The icing wast thick enough so the roses ended as blobs at first. Had to improvise to try save them. But the rest I'm quite happy with. I try to find opportunities to play with icing

Nope. Mother's day is still a zero in my house. I had to remind my husband and got a cup of coffee at breakfast- after the tea and coffee I made for us after waking, and the breakfast I made for everyone. Oh and the lunch. I have told him I'm not cooking dinner. He thinks he kept the kids busy with movies so I could make food was enough.

I guess I'll just stick to celebrating other mothers

Maternity allowance

Hi guys! So I am currently on maternity leave with my boy and pregnant again, my maternity leave is almost over (I took the full 52 weeks off) so I am due back work soon! I have just had an email saying I’m not eligible for statuary maternity pay again and they are sending me a form to apply for maternity allowance! I would only be back at work for approx 6-8 weeks before going on maternity again! So I thought I would use my holidays instead of actually going back but the manager has actually refused them. What I’m wondering is, if I was to hand in my notice, would I still technically be eligible for maternity allowance and get the full amount or would it be the £27 a week? Because if I did do that, then they would obviously still have to pay me my holidays that I’m entitled to?

Change of religion when married.. advice please!

Hi all, my husband has very recently and out of the blue turned to Christianity (we were atheist). I’ve been super supportive, we’re speaking a lot about it, I’m reading the bible to understand. To be clear I don’t have an issue with it at all (I went to a Christian school, just wouldn’t say I’ve found Jesus myself 🤷🏼‍♀️).
I just wondered if anyone has been in a similar situation? What if I can’t come to the same conclusion and we end up not being of the same religion?

Really hoping someone’s gone through similar and may give me an idea of how it turned out please 🙏

Extending maternity leave beyond a year

I’m due to go back to work in June and my baby to nursery after a year off (I work in the nursery she’ll be attending).I can’t claim funding for her until September so considering now staying off with her until then.

Does anyone know how this works? Am I entitled to just tell them I’m doing this or is it something that can be refused now my maternity leave and 52 weeks leave entitlement is up?
