Midwife recommended me getting a cat net/mosquito net for the babies crib as the cat sleeps in our bedroom and I don’t want him suffocating or getting into the crib with the baby during the night. I have a Snuz pod 2 crib and alls you see on Amazon etc. is cat nets for other brands of cribs, does anyone have one of these and where did you get it from?
Thanks

We had to shut our cat out of the room - we also had a Snuzpod and I don't think it's recommended to put anything on the crib that could fall onto baby. She wasn't happy with being shut out at first but she got used to it quickly.

I actually read something on here a few weeks ago about someone who got a cat net and they cat still jumped onto it. Luckily the baby wasn’t in the cot but it might be worth shutting the cats out maybe?xx

I agree with above no net will stop the cat. The net isn’t strong enough so the safest option is shut the cat out sorry. We had to shut the dog out and he’s slept in with us for 13yrs 😞

We have two cats and they slept with us….soon as I was pregnant I said to my partner the cats can’t sleep in our room no more ….a few months before baby boy came we started shutting the door, yes the meow to come in but they soon got the message. You honestly don’t know if the cat will jump into the cot when you are asleep …it’s not a risk I was going to take, cats a naturally curious so the likelihood of them thinking “oh a new cat bed “ is mostly high ! Plus do you want to be fussing around with a net after you have fed and out baby to sleep, then have a cat up wanting to be fussed ? The cat has the whole house to find a new bed.

I think you should find a new place for the cat to sleep it’s dangerous

We bought the cats new cat beds 6 months before my due date so they could get used to sleeping in a nice new bed. We have now moved those beds (which they love) to other rooms in the house and we have found that they follow the cat beds! Great preparation for when baby is here 😊
